this guy did was glorious, just glorious. He became the guy,
essentially, that a lot of Americans watching the speech wanted to be.
To be there and to call out the President, to his face, his lie. It's
as if the Town Halls were simply the rising action, and this was the
climax - the moment. Joe Wilson is the protester, the guy just sick and
tired of the bullshit, he couldn't take it anymore. He shouldn't have
backpedaled so quickly.
>>5407780 >Apparently a lot of congressmen are calling for some serious punishment.
"Stretch"
Pelosi talked about how, even though measures are in place to punish
him, they're not going to do anything because it would be pointless and
distracting. [This was paraphrased from a clip of her press conference]
>I've also read this has done some serious damage to the image of the GOP (well, what was left of it).
Only
to the people who already hated the GOP and every member and every
thing they did. The up-swell of support of this guy, though, is just
amazing.
What's that? His opponent raised some money overnight
because of the controversy? Bitch please, he'll be plugging his
campaign site on every single conservative radio and television show
for the next week. He's the talk of every site/group/person who opposes
the President's agenda. I wouldn't be surprised if he increases his
coffer by multiples, while his opponent stays behind.
Sorry
progressives, but Joe Miller is no serious challenger to Joe Wilson. At
a time where *incumbent* Blue Dog seats are severely vulnerable, the
voters of Wilson's district won't unseat a him for an unspectacular
phony moderate. |
