Being a proper mother is a full time job. They lack testosterone so they have little agressivity and drive to push the limits of knowledge. Evolution has favored qualities that would help in child rearing. Studies in schools in highly developped countries (Scandinavia) show that females do just as well as males in maths and better in literary subjects. A case can't be made for men being more intelligent than women.
