If I was the oncoming car, I would not have stayed exactly ni my lane, I would have slowed down as they approached, and I would have swerved out of the way as they seemed about to hit me. I would also have honked repeatedly before that point. I have had oncoming traffic cross the center line at much faster speeds (55+ mph), and had to dodge them to keep from being hit, on a few occasions. As a cop, I see this almost EVERY DAY.
On almost a daily basis, and sometimes more than once a day, we are called to the scene of an accident where a woman has plowed into the car that was ahead of her, and its NEVER their fault.
