Pessimism = realism, bro.
The truth is, BOTH work very well in application, when applied correctly. But
Capitalism is slowly dying because of monopolies and corporations not
being monitored by Government, and therefore destroying the healthy
competition which benefits society Socialism is simply the pooling
of money to create an effective resource and bypass the commerical
step, making it more streamlined and available. Would I want earthquake
rescue teams privatised? Fuck no, I want to pay for them via my taxes
and have them ready and waiting for a disaster. I want my services,
such as public transport, rescue, law enforcement, education and
healthcare socialised so that they are cheaper and more effective - we
don't need competition in these fields, except in the case of education
where competition is done by students, not by the institutions
themselves.
Incidentally, I want my food, leisure, insurance etc. to be privatised.
Socialism and Capitalism can work together, in different areas, in different amounts. |
