I got an automatic three-day ban for "advertising" using the very same text the 4chan banners were using to advertise to me. Perhaps moot doesn't like healthy competition.

I got a 15 day global ban for posting in one of the Iran protest threads for "responding to invasion thread"

I can't really think of any bans that have been unjustified, but I remember once I was trying to post something here and the stupid fucking robot would not accept that it was original. I mootblox'd it, I even mashed the keyboard and put in a string of random letters, but it just wouldn't accept it. Eventually I had got to a 4 minute mute for the 3rd time or so, and having gotten tired of resetting my IP by this point, I just gave up and closed the thread.

I also got b7 for camwhoring once. That wasn't really bad, though, I've had worse. Can't remember any, however

I saw this same exact thread at least half a year ago, same picture, same text.

7-day ban for "cp" even though I never posted cp, never posted in a cp thread, and the post that triggered the ban (I got an "abnormal reply") didn't even have an image or have anything to do with cp in any way. On top of that I've never posted cp or jailbait at all in my years on 4chan.

I immediately appealed the ban and even linked to relevant threads I posted in right before the ban. The appeal was denied.

The reason most of the boards are shit is because there are too few mods and janitors, and the few we have spend more time in IRC than 4chan.

Most of my other bans have been reasonable, although still pretty bullshit since others break even worse rules and go scot-free, and I took my bans like a man. Where I believe I was mistakenly banned - one was an accidental ban in /v/, another was an autoban in /r9k/ for posting a U5TR3AM link for a cam at the Boston Meet - I always appealed and the appeal was usually accepted except that one time.

I'm also probably one of the only people on /r9k/ who was ever banned for trying to avoid the mute.
