r9k, I need some direction in life.

I'm 18 and have no idea what I want to do with myself.
I dropped out of school in year 10 and have been at tafe for about a year studying networking, and it is boring as fuck, I love computers but I just can't see myself doing this as a job.

There's nothing else I like doing, I don't know what occupation would suit me, I don't have any interests other than the internet and I'm too pussy to labor.

Can anyone suggest an interesting occupation I could pursue?

everyone feels like that at 18. you're not special, snowflake. go travel for a while and man the hell up.

Oh for all non-ausfags, tafe is just tertiary education I spose.

    In between school and uni

I dropped out in year 10 too, broski.

Learn an instrument, go into music, become wealthy and famous. It's a solid plan.

I was thinking of taking 6 months or so off to get back in shape and just figure out my future, but my mum is putting pressure on me because she wants to move to the country.

Should I just move away from my friends (all 3 of them) and start a new life in a new (shitty) town?

yeah why not. getting away from home when i was that age was the best thing i ever did. it's all essentially meaningless so go out and enjoy yourself because i guarantee you won't have the opportunities again or the excuse of your age to get away with them either.

military --> special forces --> some high tier job

Your ass is going to die in a couple of years. Along with your family and everyone you know.. unless you possess some unfathomable skill that would make the World's Governments WANT to keep you.

What about physiotherapy? That doesn't really require a degree and seems pretty easy.
    >> Anonymous 06/02/09(Tue)07:27:40 No.4347395
    Here's what you do.

Do nothing for a couple of years. No work, no schooling, no nothing.

Live with the 'rents, all that good shit.

That ought to give you the drive to go find something to do. Or in those few years you'll find your calling. One of the two.

..I want to fucking leave..but no money and I STILL don't know what I want to do.

This is what happens when the population is uneducated and undisciplined. Loser slobs who felt that tenth grade is too hard for their useless asses think they have a shot at the future.

listen asshat, cut you losses, sit the fuck down and learn, life isn't easy, man the fuck up.

OP - did you do the CISCO course at TAFE?

    I signed up for that.

Was boring as shit and i ended up just going to Sushi Train every Tuesday night instead. I highly recommend doing something else. Work at McDonalds, then you can do a Certificate 2 and 3 in retail/hospitality for free, and that shit will get you far man. It's not interesting, but you're pretty much guaranteed a constant supply of good money to let you do as you please.

Go in the direction Milhouse is pointing.
Follow as well as you possibly can and only change direction if you see someone point in a different direction. Do this until you find your destiny.

Well, except for, y'know, a degree in physiotherapy.

    Yeah I'm doing Cisco.

    Taka's kitchen > sushi train

I would prefer not to work in fast food with all the fucking retards.

I did drop out in year 10, but it's not because I'm stupid. I'm just extremely lazy and unmotivated.

Jesus fuck I wish I had the balls to just drop everything and do this.

Probably walk into the sea, but still.
