05/28/09(Thu)13:15:31 No.4296596>>4296528 I'm
American. I started seeing therapists around age 16, and I must say
I've never really found one I liked. Therapists are nicer though.. it's
the psychiatrists you need to watch out for..
When I was
seeing a psych for my meds (and a therapist to talk), I would always
think he was the worst doctor because he would ask me a question, which
I would answer, and then ask me the same question worded differently
maybe 5 minutes later. To me, it seemed like he wasn't listening. When
I told this to my mother though, she said that's something they do to
see if you're consistent or something. So basically I was going there
to be tricked? Retarded.
Anyways. I think technically everyone
has "problems" or could be assigned some kinda of disorder of the
mood/cognition. Over the years (I'm not 23) the following problems have
been attributed to me:
depression bi-polar anxiety disorder panic disorder (i went thru a period of time where i kept getting attacks..) schizophrenia
but the one I think that I feel most comfortable with now is what my last therapist mentioned, depersonalization disorder..
Meh..
the whole industry needs a major rehaul. It's driven far too much by
the whole pharm. business. I take 40mg of Prozac a day now and after
I'll I've been on.. it has been the most helpful, I think. |
