So I was called a racist and a fascist last night for my views on immigration in my country. I'm going to put out condensed versions of what I discussed, honestly I think its reasonable and not at all grounded in hatred or any emotion whatsoever.

1. Alot of immigrants come here and then bring over their extended family, many of whom are often elderly and/or infirm to take advantage of our universal healthcare. Thats fine but I believe that their sponsors should either themselves have $100k worth of liquid cash or equivilent investments+a tracable means to provide for the welfare of each relative they bring over that can not reasonably be shown as being able to contribute to the workforce, or alternatively, the relatives themselves must have $100k cash that they bring with them. $25k per child that is not the direct offspring of said sponsor.

2. We should have a staging area, not quite an Ellis island, but just a simple processing center where we can confirm refugee claims and give them a basic medical checkup. There is a huge blackmarket refugee fraud system that could be in part circumvented with simple background checks. And the medical checkup would benefit the immigrant in addition to adding a layer of ptorection for us citizens against communicable diseases. I do not believe that entry status should be affected by this screening, since the cost would have been offset by point #1, it just seems like common sense to be aware and to make the applicants aware of any medical conditions.

3. If a landed immigrant or refugee is found guilty of two consectutive inditables, they are deported, end of story. No appeal. Concurrent inditables would be reviewed on a case by case basis.
