I canceled my cable six months ago. I only use my TV to watch my huge collection of VHS tapes, and that only once or twice a week.

This is why I can't watch Comedy Central late at night anymore. This fucking commercial bothers the shit out of me. They try so hard to make it deceitful without going beyond the pale that it's painful to watch. Not to mention the "random street interviews" of people who just happen to be taking this obscure product; of course, they use the same vague language, every last one of them. I'M BIGGER AND I FEEL MORE CONFIDENT. Care to define?

And don't get me started on the ones about cleaning out your colon or that asshole that touts himself as big business' biggest enemy or whatever.

It's like switching from processed to homemade foods. Once you're off it for a bit, if you go back you see just how terrible it is. There's very little I can't find streaming or torrents for if I really want to watch.

I'm kinda like this guy, however I live in a house where we have cable including 20-30 movie channels. I watch maybe 30min of tv per week (basically 5min here and there while I'm making food/eating). I watch a lot of media though...I have close to 2000 movies and about 1000 different tv shows/documentaries. When I see "real" tv I usually rage because of massive amounts of commercials and/or the nature of the commercials themselves; in the sense of "wtf somebody is retarded enough to market this junk...wait people actually buy this shit en masse" then I feel depressed over the feebleness of the inventor and the buying demographic and I lose faith in all humanity...about every 10min.

I cant take another alert pendant commercial. I fallen and I cant get up!

From what my friend (Firefighter/EMT) tells me, a good proportion of calls is from people using life alert. Apparently, even though the commercials are annoying as fuck, it's something that's really worth getting if you're old and alone.

I personally just have a hatred of the god damned Bowflex commercials. One of my spoiled rich fucktard friends went nuts over that shit and actually got his parents to buy him one.
