I still watch movies with friends. The difference is that now, we don't have to spend time driving to the video store, walking around looking for wherever the fuck they hid that one movie we're looking for, paying ~$3 to rent it, and getting back only to find the disc is scratched, or the tape isn't rewound (and then having to rewind it again once we're done).

I used to have a small mom'pop place around me that stocked weird movies and shit that little kid me loved, but then they closed and I was stuck with Blockbuster's selection. Now, I have Netflix and I'm back to being that kid again. The fact that I can watch damn near anything at a moment is fantastic.
