While it is a board with no actual topic all the shit that goes on on /b/ (ponies, forcing meme's, repeating the same troll thread 12 times a day, stale copypasta, etc.) is pretty much uniquely hated by everyone on /r9k/ who moved here from the old /b/ precisely because of that kind of shit (although when /r9k/ started it was mostly gore, cp and shit like they we were running from).

I just never pay much attention to the boards I don't frequent, I usually keep to /b/ and /adv/. Heard a lot about people who found this board awesome but didn't bother to take a look until someone mentioned it was gone etc. Then when it came back I came here, liked it, stayed. To me it feels more like /adv/ than like /b/ (although less bitter) but my comment about the differences between this and /b/ was because it's both under random without any specific topic. I did notice that you can't post something that's been posted before I just wondered whether there was another reason they made an extra undefined board or however you should call it.
