    This is our future.

    >The Roper report also asked tweens to rate 17 items as "cool or not cool." Music was at the top of the cool list, followed by going to the movies. "Being smart" ranked third tied with video games followed by electronics, sports, fashion and protecting the environment.

    >Right now, their friends and their status is everything to them," says Marissa Aranki, 41, of Fullerton, Calif.

This is why all Americans are retarded.

Nothing has changed, people have been like this since the dawn of mankind, we will baww about it because of one easily explained thing called the generation gap.

Ill admit, this is one thing that I think might be mostly exclusive to the United States. I fucking hate it.

The article makes them out to be almost heroes or something for being "busy" with their little bullshit. I see them as selfish, self righteous, and even more consumer whores than I was when I was that age. But then again I grew up poor.

At the top of my list: fucking those tweens.

Hm. I don't think it's too bad, it's not exactly like 14 is the end of emotional development. Granted, I am totally cool with shallowness so doesn't matter imo. As long as people become useful eventually, or even a few people do, I am cool with it.

Well what do you fucking expect. They are 10-12 year olds.

Im thinking that most of them will never grow out of it. Even the people around me at my uni are all here on daddies and mommies money, and it's only going to get worse in the next few years.

Hopefully the recession (and probably depression at this point) will give some of em a reality check.

All else fails, I'll definitely be fucking them. Just look like you have your shit together, drive a car, and have shiny things, and they will wet their panties at the sight of you.
