WHY BOARDING AT A UK PUBLIC SCHOOL SUCKS ARSE:

    1. All the girls look, act and talk in the same fashion. It's scary. You look around in chapel and there's forty girls who look exactly the same staring gormlessly into space. Shit's scary, bru.

    2. No companions: to be expected. Poorest one in my year, surrounded by rich people who like sport and r&b. I am geeky sort who likes the usual sort of thing. It's not really compatible.

    3. No proper internet. School's network is run through a firewall and an impenetrable proxy. I've tried and can't figure out how to get past. This means no 4chan, no streaming video, no gun sites, no survivalist sites, no alternative news sites, no torrents, no IRC, no porn, nothing.

    4. Social Retard: I have no idea how to act around people outside of my family and a formal occasion. This does not help and is exasperated by problem 3.

    5. Woken up by loud bells and house master every morning except sunday.

    6. Saturday School. I only get sundays off and even then I have chapel in the evenings.

    7. Third formers. I hate the little fucks.

    8. No booze. At home, I have at least a pint of cider a day. At school I am completely dry.

It always ends up the same. I go crazy in the last weeks.
Please tell me Uni is going to be different.

Sympathetic Amerifag here, although I spent the last semester in London. They obviously give you more freedoms at university, and people are older and more mature. Your school sounds both awful and typical of adolescents. So yes, of course better, from what I saw of UCL. Read their student newspaper, and it sounded like they had fun times.

Living in a big city was awesome; I recommend that for your university years. Always something to do, even for non-socialites. Conway hall has fun events for intelligent and liberal people. Hell, just hanging around Camden Town looked fun.

Come to America. Our class war is still raging. The poor might actually win here.

Well if you aren't Dan, I should put you in contact with him. He's seventeen, a 4channer, a poor kid at a rich school, and an all-around brilliant guy. He would know what to do.

I go to a wicked artsy american high school with roughly 100 students and I get on 4chan all the time. Sucks to be in the UK, kid.
Everyone at my school is a /b/tard, no lie. It's ridic.
