When I was a kid, everyone had their favourite Pokemon, but I was the only kid I knew who loved Magnemite. I just thought he was so awesome, especially his voice in the anime. When we'd all play pretend Pokemon, I always had Magnemite.

So, when I got Diamond, I decided that on my second playthrough I'd ditch my starter and start with a Magnemite. I never let him evolve, and although I had a team to help of course, I pretty much beat the game with my Magnemite.
