Do any other anons have bad teeth? Man, I do. It's embarassing and shameful to me that they've gotten to this point. I can't afford a dentist. I haven't even been to one in like 20 years, and honestly am terrified to go to one at this point. I can still eat and all, but every so often something will give me trouble and I'll be having a hard time with meals for a few days. Two in the back have broken places on them, and I think I have wisdom teeth coming in which cause my jaws to ache sometimes and grind.

Pic is certainly not mine, but I would give anything for healthy teeth!

I do. I hate brushing my teeth. I do it once every two days, maybe. I lack 5 teeth. Had to extract and shit.

I just don't care about it.
    >> Anonymous 12/19/08(Fri)01:28:01 No.2485714
Do you eat healthy? Getting a decent electric toothbrush, and using it regularly, would help.
    >> Anonymous 12/19/08(Fri)01:28:51 No.2485725
I had bad teeth. Then I spent $3000 (mostly through parent's dental plan) and probably 24 hours total (spanning 12 or so visits) to get them fixed. I should probably brush my teeth more than once a day after all that, but it's still better than never.
    >> Anonymous 12/19/08(Fri)01:32:04 No.2485756
same here OP. i have really fucked up teeth. haven't been to a dentist in 15+years (except to get an abscessed tooth removed).

i probably only have like 3 teeth that aren't chipped/broken/or totally gone. i'll have to get full dental implants.

i'm also poor as shit and can't afford it. i don't think i'll ever be able to afford it.

i eaten on one side of my mouth for longer than i can remember. but now that side is getting really fucked up. i'm pretty sure i have at least 3 abscesses but can't do shit about it. no insurance, no money.

i am also scared as shit of having that big of a procedure done to me. there's so many things that could go wrong. like what if you weren't put under all the way? i mean i got one tooth yanked and i was a blubbering, shaking mess. so what's it gonna be like when they have to yank like 30 broken motherfuckers out of my face? i'm pretty sure i'd need oral surgery to remove all the little tooth fragments and roots that are still present.

so basically i'm fucked. but we can both take solace in knowing we are not alone. i also have 3 friends who have abcsesses and whose teeth are gonna be fucked.

    samefag here.

also to add to my story OP.
you should start taking care of your shit now. before it gets worse. if i would've started taking care of my shit 5 years ago, it wouldn't be nearly as bad as it is now.

and hey! at least we're not bald!

Throughout my childhood, I never brushed my teeth much. My teeth are almost perfectly straight though, just a little bit yellow now even though I brush regularly. I've just started recently doing it twice a day (did it only once before bed) I'm wondering what are some other goods ways to take the yellow out? I do have mouthwash if that helps, and I have money to spend on buying extra little shit.

I have wondrous teeth. I go six months without brushing my teeth, then I go to get a cleaning and they tell me I'm taking great care of my teeth, and that I have extremely little tooth decay, and I do great getting rid of plaque, and that I'm healthy as a horse. Then I feel bad cause it's like I'm lying to them.

My teeth are okay, but not perfect.

My entire bottom row is shifted about a half-tooth to the left, and so my bit doesn't quite line up. The teeth have been ground down over the years to accommodate, so forcibly lining them feels awkward.

I also have a little bit of crowding on the bottom row. One tooth is overlapping another, and it gets annoying sometimes. Not even braces could fix it. I have a small gap in my upper front teeth, but it's not very noticeable.

You could get one of those gel & blue light whitening kits. Strangely enough, I've been using one of those lately and fucking hell, it's made one hell of an improvement.
People have actually commented on my smile and it's a very nice feeling.

You can get those kits of Ebay pretty cheap and most big stores with a pharmaceutical department stock them. Watch out for the kits that contain hydrogen carbamide of varying percentages, that's generally what dentists use professionally but if you buy online you can't necessarily guarantee the quality of the product and you could risk chemical burns to the gums.

    That's fucking disgusting.

I have pretty good teeth. Never needed braces, only real problem I have alignment wise is a slight overbite. And I can't get my teeth to be white for the life of me. I have tried everything out there except for actually getting them professionally bleached. I just drink so much tea that I have years of stains built up (not as bad as some people though) that it doesn't matter how many times a day I brush.

My teeth are still complete, but I need braces and they're yellow.

The latter confuses me though, seeing as how I brush twice a day (morning and evening)
    >> Anonymous 12/19/08(Fri)01:47:05 No.2485893
I have WONDERFUL teeth. I can go without brushing for days, and they will seriously stay white. It's so nice too, because I'm not worried about looking like OP or some shit.

I do brush every now and then, but really I just do it when I'm already in the bathroom and I remember.

lol @ you poorfags and you genetically-inferior-fags.

I have braces, and have recently had jaw surgery to fix the overbite that the braces couldn't. It was pretty bad, 11 millimeters.

One of the few things in life that makes me rage is when people don't take care of their teeth. ENJOY LIFE WHEN YOU'RE 30 AND HAVE DENTURES.
    >> Anonymous 12/19/08(Fri)01:48:40 No.2485904
I used to have crazy hillbilly teeth but then I had braces for like 6 years. My teeth look ok but because of my crossbite some of the teeth don't line up right. My front teeth don't snap together when I close my mouth, so I can't open bags and stuff with my teeth. Kinda sucks.
    >> Anonymous 12/19/08(Fri)01:51:36 No.2485932
The girlfriend has crooked teeth. I've gotten used to it, but goddamn I used to stare at those not-so-white bitches with intrigue. She fell in the girl's gym fucking around years ago and chipped her front tooth. The rest just grew out of whack.

Imagine the blowjobs I had to go through. She's gotten better, but...

    ...

    Eh...
    >> Anonymous 12/19/08(Fri)01:51:56 No.2485935
My wisdom teeth have been coming in for what seems like years. I don't have insurance anymore so I can't go get them taken out. They're coming in at 45 degree angles. I'm sort of hoping maybe they'll just stop.

Sometimes they ache a bit, but it isn't that big of a deal. I just hope they don't get worse or start crowding the rest of my teeth. The top row of my teeth are almost perfect, but my bottom are a bit of a mess. It's not terrible and I don't think it's that big of a deal, you don't see the bottom so much when you smile. But I'm sort of afraid the wisdom teeth will fuck everything up.

I have a bad habit of forgetting to brush my teeth. I probably have another cavity or two. I always do in the morning, but at night sometimes i'm just so tired I don't care. When I do I always use mouthwash and this tongue scraper thing, but I still wake up with that nasty filmy taste in my mouth.

My teeth are fine, not that I take particularly good care of them, but I goto the dentist often and had braces.

I'm more concerned about my gums these days because of all these studies linking gum disease to heart disease.

I have fucked up teeth. The first problem is that they are yellow. Thanks to some medication I had to take when I was an infant, they have been yellow for as long as I can remember. I've had multiple dentists tell me that there isn't anything I can do about it. Oh well, I've learned to live with it.

The other problem is that they are crooked. I had to choose between braces or a college fund and I chose college. I can afford braces now, but I stopped caring about how my teeth looked a long time ago.

I brush my teeth regularly and have only had two small cavities in my life. They aren't pretty but they're in otherwise good shape.

    OP here

    >>2485756
yeah I'm scared as shit thinking I'll end up needing oral surgery too. I don't have the best of experiences with dentists either, even though the worst I had when I went to the dentist as a kid was two cavities. I had one mean/rough nurse who should have been shot for instilling even more fear of the dentist office in a kid than he would already naturally have.

    >>2485935
what a coincidence, one of the wisdom teeth I have is totally at a 45 degree angle too. it's a real pain cause you can't brush the one side of it at all.

and as shitty as it is, I guess it's nice to know that I'm not alone in the bad teeth department. if I were a millionaire, I'd pay to fix all of you guys' teeth, just because I know what it's like to live with crap like this for so long.

OP again. I try to take care of what I have by "brushing" twice a day, but there's only so much you can do. The front ones are mostly okay aside from not being pearly white (no idea on cavities though), and I'd like to at least keep a non-horrible smile. the back ones are the problem, and are hard to brush, which over time just makes them worse. :/ it's pretty depressing.
    >> Anonymous 12/19/08(Fri)02:17:20 No.2486103
I brush my teeth once a day to once every two days, unless I have company over. I've never had a cavity in my life or have had teeth pulled. I rock.

That sounds like bs, your dentists are lying.

Nice teeth is one of the few things I actually do have going for me. I brush 2-3 times a day and floss every night before I go to sleep. I used to take shit care of my teeth until I got braces. I figured if my family was going to pay that much just to get them straight, the least I could do was some good upkeep.

My dad takes horrible care of his teeth and has had to get several root canals done, many of his teeth are dentures that are screwed into his jaw, lots of fucked up shit. I have only had 1 cavity in my adult teeth and hope to keep it that way. It's never too late to start taking care of your shit. GO BRUSH YO FUCKIN TEEF.

I wish it were BS, but if you don't believe me, there are plenty of articles online about how medication taken during pregnancy or infancy can affect teeth.

Whitening procedures weren't very effective. Trying anything else at this point just seems like a waste of money.
    >> Anonymous 12/19/08(Fri)03:01:34 No.2486462
My teeth are fucked up in so many ways...

Let me start by saying that, while all of my teeth are the original ones that grew in during my teens, not one of them is entirely the original enamel. Add to this my utter lack of insurance, or job, or extra money for non covered service, and... well, one of my teeth needs a crown, and probably a canal.

The worst part is the positioning of them. My teeth are arranged more like a dogs, thanks to crowding and just being unlucky; all of my molars bend inwards so that it is a straight line to the back of my mouth from my incisors, except the last couple teeth. My eye teeth are fucking huge and projected, and entirely pointy, both top and bottom. Oh yeah, my incisors along the bottom are like a janky picket fence, as they are trying to shuffle together.

Yeah. Shit sucks. This is payback for having taken shitty care of them early in life, as well as having denied braces to be more visually appealing, because braces looked "nerdy."

TL;DR Take fucking care of your teeth.
