Go to a university in the US. Grade inflation will do the rest.

If you're stupid you'll fail, if you're smart you will pass.

This thread is pointless. You can't polish a turd, and you can't become smart if you are truly stupid.

To do well in college? Show up to class somewhat often.

To do well in university? Devote all of your free time to your studies, do all homework, complete all assignments, study early for exams, finish work as soon as it is assigned, do all assigned reading, and only go out on Friday and Saturday nights. Also stay away from computers unless you have computer work to do. They are like studentbane.

How is that taking shots at the US? They just have different standards.

I'm pretty sure, all that is, is how to not have a live while going to school.

If you have half a brain, you shouldn't have to do that.
If you are, you are studying the wrong subject.

Anything that you can take at a university that is worth a shit will require you to lose some social standing.

If you're not going to take those classes then don't even fucking go to college; you're cluttering up the goddamn parking lot.

    fuck I hate humanitiesfags

Completely agreed. I've maintained a cumulative 4.0 for three years just by doing these things. And no, I don't really have much of a "life," because school is the biggest part of my life. If you don't make school a big priority, then your grades will generally reflect this.

Last time I checked, the US has way more Ivy-League schools than anywhere else.

Go to class. Do required work.

Seriously, that's all it fucking takes. I don't do 90% of the reading, I don't study before midterms or finals. All I do is go to all the classes (and just sit and listen unless I feel like contributing), and when there's an essay or hw or something, I do it, usually the night before. Maybe I'm just good at retaining information, but that's all it fucking takes and I've got a 3.6 at a well respected university. It would be higher too if I didn't bomb finals spring semester of sophomore year because of personal issues that hit at that time.

What about your peers who may perceive you as a loner, or a geek for devoting your free time for college work?

You know that real college life revolves around drinking and parties.

    Just something to think about.

Last time I checked the Ivy league was an american thing and therefore nobody else *could* have any.

Last time I checked, America didn't have oxbridge.
    >> Anonymous 12/17/08(Wed)21:59:01 No.2474419
Fun Fact: Students at Ivy League schools compete for the chance to win the very competitive Rhodes scholarship, which lets them study at Oxford in Britain for a year.

    1. Find professors who will send your assignments to you over the internet.
    2. Never show up to class.
    3. Get your assignments turned in on time.
    4. Pass with strait A's and get excepted to the honors college.

You got excepted into the honors college? How so without a mastery of spelling?
