12/15/08(Mon)17:15:50 No.2449954This page shows everything that's wrong with Wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jonathan_Pollard
Pollard was a two-bit spy who sold American secrets to Israel. He was arrested on good evidence and sent to jail. Case closed.
But
no! Israel is a friendly country people say. Pollard was just helping
out an ally they say. It's not really a crime they say. Never mind
Israel turned around and sold all his secrets to Russia.
Pollard
has become a standard bearer issue for the Zionist movement. It's
become a annual ritual where AIPAC goes to the President or members of
congress to demand his release. And the Wikipedia page as essentially
been co-opted into the cause. Try to edit the article with factual
information and see how long it lasts before some admin comes along and
reverts it.
Wikipedia shows a tremendous bias towards all things
Israel. It's unfortunate, because the reality is that Israel is a shit
country that probably won't last the century. It's too violents and
theocratic. It strips people of their rights. These facts are so basic
and incontestable and the sooner people realize it, the better off we
all are. But because so many of the mods are Jewish, the propoganda has
crept in. It's impossible to get a true picture.
Anyway,
Wikipedia is good for a lot of other stuff. But modern conflicts,
especially those involving the mideast, are poorly covered. The
potential for bias is beyond huge. |
