Sell the fat screens and buy a nice flat widescreen.

Then you would have at least 27% more space!

remove windows and learn that you can only use one computer at once.

Moron. Windows is the better operating system simply because the majority of programs are made to work with it.

Dicking around with Linux is a waste of time and completely rapes productivity. Don't even get me started on Macs which don't actually allow you to do much besides use the preselected 30 programs that work on them.

Also, it's entirely possible to use more than one computer if you actually have complex tasks to do. You probably wouldn't know much about that since the only things running on your computer are your music player and browser.

Replace the 2 monitors with 3 LCD flat screens. Hook them up to one computer. Take the hard drive out of the other one and add it in there too. Get rid of dual keyboards/mice. Get a wireless router and use those laptops somewhere else. You can only use one computer at a time.

What the hell is the program running on the right monitor there?

    >>2420463
Hurr, some of the high end Samsung models easily have enough color depth.

For example, if I have to manage a huge database, I'd have the database applications running on one computer and then I'd start certain tasks (like backing up the database) and use my second computer for other things while it's doing that.

The various processes can take hours and be quite demanding on system resources so it'd be impractical to use just one computer.

    It's called quad-core processing, a 64 bit platform, and 8GB of RAM.

    Learn computers.

Those CRT monitors are disgusting. Anyway, REAL suggestions? Get flat screens. Two 19" or so. Get synergy (open source software) to use one set of mouse and keyboard on all your computers. Somehow hook the speaker system up so it works with all three computers at once. You have a small version of my desk, actually. Well, small and wood. Should've gotten the large glass/metal version.

Get new speakers for the multi-system output. That's all I can think of right now.

I lol'd at your stupidity. Most programs aren't made to utilize quad core processors let alone 8GB of RAM. In fact, you'd get better results with a high end Core 2 Duo.

You know fuck all about computers.

So the common consumer runs commercial database software on their personal computers?

Consumer software uses dual cores, max, except for perhaps a couple of vidya. A quad-core Opteron does not outperform a dual core Athlon with all cores clocked at the same rate.
