    So, basically, we're fucked.
If you dumb piece of shit libtards actually listened to some conservative insight, you might of been able to pull us out of this situation, but of course you have to ride up on your high horse and ignore what we have to say just because your boy The Messiah got elected.

Unemployment is easily going to skyrocket to 10% next quarter, due to the massive amount of job cuts being reported.
OPEC and Russia are sticking their dicks in each other's mouths and co-operating in an attempt to raise oil prices by making massive production cuts.

Simple fucking solution to this would of been to start building oil rigs like a motherfucker. Confidence wouldn't of been lost in the markets, fears of a recession would of been waned due to the fact that we'd have our own stable energy supply in a few short years. Instead, you libtards decided "HEY LETS INVEST IN UNPROVEN GREEN ENERGY TECHNOLOGY THAT WILL TAKE US 10+ YEARS TO BUILD, AND MOVE EVERYTHING OVER TO."
On top of that, your democrats are on a debt/deficit spending spree which is completely raping the worth of the dollar (which plummeted 3 cents in worth today, a massive drop.) Thank god the republicans are going to try their damnedest to filibuster the auto bailout bill.

So basically, I come to you assholes to do your best to explain how the fuck Obama and his democrats captaining the USS Failboat we currently call congress, are going to somehow fix this problem.
You can't dive into socialism, because you will have people rising up against the government, because I guarantee you, the super-majority of Americans aren't going to play that game.

How the fuck are you blaming the current state of the economy on democrats when for such a long time we've had a Republican president and up until recently, a Republican congress. Republicans fucked everything up, just because the shit hits the fan just when some Dems get into office doesn't mean you can blame shit on them, at least until they've had enough time where they possible could have fixed it.

I like how you go on about OPEC and Russia like Democrats have any control over that. OPEC is a shitty organization regardless of who's in charge.

If we had fucking started on those alternative energy sources back when we first started needed them, we wouldn't be in this problem in the first place. Fucking Republicunts mislead the people only talking about solutions for NOW NOW NOW and don't fucking plan ahead. We don't fucking need more oil, we need different fucking sources of energy.

Democrats are on a spending spree because the economy fucking needs it right now. But I'm sure you'd rather see the entire auto industry crash and contribute even more to the unemployment rate. People like my retired uncle are fucked because of this shit, certain spending is necessary.

If you don't think the American government isn't already socialist, then there's no hope for you.

Reading that entire post made me feel like I just got trolled, and hard.

Lets see.... maybe because the democrat and liberal policies are some of the fucking biggest reasons we're in this situation?
Who controls Freddie and Fannie? Democrats.
Who signed the CRA and the revisions into law? Democrats.
Who pulled the bullshit under the GLBA? Democrats.

How can you possibly say that democrats are good for the economy, when one republican president pulled 22 million jobs out of his ass with his policies?
OH BUT OBAMA IS GOING TO "CREATE 2.5 MILLION."
    Congrat-u-fucking-lations.

We do have control over OPEC, we drill here, drill now, and pay less. If we became energy independent now, we wouldn't have to worry about oil production at least for the next 30 odd years, due to the fact that we have at least a decade of reserves sitting in the country. That would sufficient enough time to research into real alternatives.

If you knew anything about the law, the auto industry would be absolutely fine if they filed Ch. 11 bankruptcy. All they'd have to do, is re-negotiate labor contracts.

You probably don't pay attention to the news, but in congress, numbers were thrown around, Toyota and GM produced and sold about the same amount of cars last year, Toyota posted a 14B dollar profit. GM, a 30B dollar loss.

What makes you think these people are going to change anything without filing for bankruptcy?

    I'm not trolling.

    >fears of a recession would of been waned due to the fact that we'd have our own stable energy supply in a few short years.

Total bulllshit, this recession will not last anywhere near as long as it takes new oil rigs to finish construction and begin production.

OPEC already cut production...demand is low, they can't command high prices because of this.

russia's economy is worse than ours right now. our economy is doing poorly because of so-called conservatives. most support big business.

they cut taxes and make it easier for them to outsource jobs overseas while simultaneously ease import tariffs. This causes our nation to lose tax revenue not just from the corporations, but from the jobs they've gotten rid of.

the corporatization of america is also perpetuated by conservatives. forcing hospitals and schools to concern themselves primarily with profit and not their originally intended service. this has caused the cost of education to skyrocket and make basic healthcare impossible unless you have a job with a large company.

confidence in the market went down because of a few things...it's extremely complicated, but one of the major causes was a reduction in consumer spending. this was caused by lost jobs, which was caused by companies looking for a reason to fire people and using the recession as an excuse, which was caused by a loss in profit, which was caused by a reduction in consumer demand...etc ad infinitum

Education is a very opinionated term.
I'm a Communications major, and I consider almost everyone in my classes to be uneducated.
Most of them are only liberal because that's what the colleges and public education system drills into their brains.

There's plenty of research out there to prove it.
Education is a public service run by the government, when the economy is down, everyone flocks to schools in the name of "getting a better job."
So it's simply in the educator's better interests to get people to rely on government to solve their problems, so they have a strong measure of control over everyone else.

True conservative values are exactly this: Smaller government (less intervention in everyday life.) Lower taxes, (let the private industry handle things, they ALWAYS do it better.) More personal responsibilities, (if you fuck up, it's YOUR problem, not the government's.)

Private industry does almost everything better.
I'm not talking about completely de-regulating the market entirely, obviously key regulation policies (and I'm a softie when it comes to regulations, I'm for quite a few.) will need to be in place to protect people and such.

The truth is that this is the culmination of the last 3 decades of pro corporate policies supported by BOTH parties. The bailout which was supported by both parties was a socialist enterprise to publicize the losses that the companies had made for their short term gain while during the times that were great, the profits were private. But when it comes to socialism for the regular people you hear nothing but people screaming about how evil it is. These people have you right where they want you, screaming at each other over whether you are red or blue and completely missing the big picture. Americans are soooooooo easy to manipulate

The government has spent roughly about 8.5 trillion dollars already, where do you think quite a bit of that has gone?
Freddie and Fannie didn't only back CRA loans, they backed a massive amount of mortgages that were embedded into the secondary market, the CRA was only something that pushed them off a cliff of bad lending practices.

Oh yeah, and guess who oversees those two GSEs?

Austrian economics is like the National Socialist Party: For the good of all, let's have a ton of people just die because they are unfit

We like to, sometimes, think of ourselves as helping others get by. Good Samaritan and all that shit.

    Haha.

    What are you talking about...?
Politicians have lobbyists, moron, they use them to try and get people onboard with their policies.

Lobbyists aren't all evil special interests "get people on our payroll so we can pass this bill" people.

Okay, jackass. I don't believe a damn thing you just said. You pay $5k for newsletters from top economists? I find this hard to believe. If you can find an economist that believes that a race to the bottom in wages occurs, and this is because of trade, then by all means be my guest. A race to the bottom won't occur simply because wages are based on productivity. You should know this. And the more productive you are, the better your wage will be.

    Just keep stroking your e-penis.

Hurr, I've passed my economics courses, I don't give a flying fuck what you have to think about it.

I guarantee most politicians wouldn't be able to answer those questions either, that is why they have advisers. At least I can score high on civics tests and such, which only like 40% of politicians passed.

    Wages are based on Productivity?

ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME? Are you saying those Indian Software developers are 1/20th as productive as their American Counterparts?

Or that the Suzhou engineers are 1/100th as productive as their american counterparts?

You are just... wow... hahhahahhaahhaha.... OH REALLY.

And most of Logistics/OPS jobs are outsourced too, those used to pay $120k+

Now done for about $5k a year in Shenzen.

You're clueless and probably still in College.

I never really expect you people to come up with anything good to argue my cases, so whatever.
It's at least entertaining for a little while.
Now I'm going to head out with some buddies, enjoy your basements and the thought that about 100 of you were trolled by a 19 year old.

    Good game.

At the heart it really was. All the republicans caught him in a little lie that 99% of all men who are found cheating tell right at first "i didnt do it!". So it was all about whether the president could be trusted but at the heart, it was really all about a blowjob. Bush's lies are far greater and costlier to the american nation than any of Clintons were, but Clinton got impeached for it even when 66% of the public was against it. They just never went so far as to convict him after the impeachment. You do realize its a process that takes several steps right

    Also, you're a fucking retard.
Wages are relative to their productive society.
Why do you think they don't just simply move to the states instead of working out there in their country.

    Jesus christ, you are dumb.

Compensation in real life is never determined by that and instead relies on comparative and socially average forms of payment.

You have obviously not seen the comp practice as it works in a firm opposed to how it works in a text-book.

Only when you consider that Bush went right a long with the unwinnable "war on terror" and ramped up the waste that was going into it. Also, Clinton kept on with the failed "war on drugs", supported NAFTA (old Bush SR/Reagan plan), and supported the telecommunications act of 96 which helped consolidate media sources in even fewer hands at the detriment to us all. There is no great love for me of Clinton, but if what he has done really pales in comparison to what bush has done over the last 8. The reality is that both parties are actually much more similar than the screaming heads on either side like to say it is. But even though I dont care much for Clinton, he should not have been impeached and Bush should have.

In this case he's actually right. Compensation is sometimes correlated with productivity, but it's really nothing like the text books say, because the barriers to career change are usually high for high-earning sectors, and so the labor supply is generally inelastic.

Thus, your specific productivity MAY determine your compensation RELATIVE to the rest of your sector, but that's about the "best" the real world can do to match the theory.
