    Did he fucking cheat?
    >> Anonymous 12/22/08(Mon)11:29 No.2401873
I've seen several double showcase wins.

    >>2401873
but Double Wins where you bid the EXACT DAMN PRICE?
    >> Anonymous 12/22/08(Mon)11:30 No.2401879
Sorta, there was a guy in the crowd who had memorized the prices of every single thing they have on the show and he fed him the answer. I don't think it's against the rules to accept help from the audience, but it's not a clean win.
    >> Anonymous 12/22/08(Mon)11:32 No.2401885
Best part was Drew reading the answer. you could TASTE the disdain in his voice.

I could literally feel him saying "You Fucker" under his breath.
    >> Anonymous 12/22/08(Mon)11:35 No.2401895
    I actually saw this televised.

Something told me it was staged. I don't know if it was Drew's unsurprised tone of voice or the guy's seemingly cool reaction to it.

Probably staged to get some viral marketing going for a show barely anyone watches anymore.

    This.

    http://www.newsfromme.com/archives/2008_12_19.html#016379 is a good explanation.

    >>2401879 it's not a clean win
Of course not, but it's $50,000+ worth of stuff. You could pay off a lot of bills with that.
    >> Anonymous 12/22/08(Mon)11:46 No.2401933
The show reuses the same showcases? Or just some of the prizes?

That would be pretty damn impressive is the guy could add up all the individual items in his head and somehow signal off the answer in like 5 seconds.

If they just reuse the same showcases though, that's kinda lame.
    >> Anonymous 12/22/08(Mon)11:49 No.2401941
    >>2401920
yeah, I do feel bad for the woman. the difference in her bid was pretty damn good. This loser get super help from some fag who's at the show religiously, and wins it all. Maybe they'll eventually put in a rule like Golf where you have to shut the hell up during that moment.
    >> Anonymous 12/22/08(Mon)11:51 No.2401945
I watched this live (I mean not live but I watched the taping air on CBS when it happened) and this guy also won his prize to get one the stage (the part where the four people bid) with the exact amount and got the five hundred dollars.

    >>2401885

You can so tell when Drew doesn't like someone. He mostly likes girls and college preppy guys, it's weird. One of the millions ways he's unlike Barker, you can tell when he just can't stand someone. And he couldn't stand this guy the second he was picked.

    >>2401873

Well you must watch it fucking daily because it doesn't happen that often, and to get the prize exactly right is, like drew said, probably hasn't happened for almost 40 years.
    >> Anonymous 12/22/08(Mon)11:52 No.2401946
    >>2401933
Just the prizes, they show up in different combination. And it's really not that hard to add up all the numbers in your head when they come at you one at a time. They announce a prize in the showcase, describe it for a bit, show another prize, add those two up while they describe it, show another prize, add it into the total from the previous result, and so on until its done. Pretty simple in-head addition, really.
    >> Anonymous 12/22/08(Mon)11:52 No.2401947
    3 other things:

If you watch enough TPIR, and you have a good memory for this sort of shit (like 10% of the population or whatever) then you will eventually catch on to the prices, or damn close to the prices. Think about how many times you've seen TPiR put a living room set or a dining room set, as long as you keep tabs on inflation you will always get in the ballpark because they don't have THAT many different brands.
Whether he cheated or not I dunno, he doesn't look all that sincere when he's making the bid... I don't know, this is all speculation unless someone gives me a source for this proposed cheating. I know for a fact that that guy didn't win his prize when he played his normal game, but I don't remember what his game was. So you have to think, if he was cheating THAT GOOD on the showcase, why did he not get the victory for his main game too?

So, in short, I'm skeptical on any cheating rumors.

My second thing was look at 2:28 you knwo that black bitch was counting on a car the second Rich Fields said it was four trips the camera shoots over to her and she leans back and goes "wtf I shouldn't have passed lmao" and I don't blame her.

The third thing was that when I saw those people they had from the audience modelling the prizes on the guys showcase it kind of made me respect the models more. Those people were fucking annoying except the guy on the pool table was kind of funny.

There's are a few posts by the guy who helped him at some price is right fan forum or some shit. he told everyone about it the day it happened in the studio, which means before it aired on television. You're not going to get a number like 27543 or whatever it was without help.
