    Hey /g/

Just bought a laptop, and wanted to get rid of all the bloat programs installed in it. Here is a print screen currently installed, which ones should I delete?

Just reformat. It's the only way to make sure you are rid of all the shit.

This. The manufacturer-supplied OS installs are usually so full of shit there's no getting rid of it without a clean install.

Make sure you delete the "recovery partition" while at it.

This looks the same as uninstalling it myself.

If I don't wanna do a clean install (don't have any discs), which programs would you get rid of?

    Is this trustworthy?

I can't find any information about it on Wiki.

Just torrent a disc image, install that and crack the activation like the rest of us. You've already paid quite enough to deserve a working OS install.

    This.
It's also a hell of a lot faster than removing all of those fuckers by hand.

I don't think so... I'm not using it...

Try starting with anything that has "HP" in its name and doesn't look like a driver. If you see some desktop applications that you can't think of any use for, go for those next.

Once you're done try defragging the partition (google for some better tools than Windows's ancient piece of shit) if it feels like it rapes the HDD way too much to do simple things like displaying a folder's contents; it may be pretty fragmented after all that.

    Which defragger do you use?
