It would do better to actually get screencaps of 1999 episodes and 2008 episodes for a side-by-side comparison. The original character design has washed out inks and squiggly lines compared to the crisp, clean cut on-model look of current episodes.

You know who I blame for all of this? Alex Borstein. When the show had it's original run, she just contributed her voice and wrote a bit. Now she's an executive producer and writes quite a lot of the show with Seth. She ruined MadTV with her shit, (don't believe me, watch the episodes before she arrived and then once she became a writer, it went from decent to shit), and she killed Family Guy and corrupted MacFarlane.
