The lines are long and annoying, yes, but there's worse waits. Like doctor visits, or airports.

Not many interesting stories. Usually it's just people sitting around bored. Once saw this old lady singing 70's songs to keep herself entertained. Another time I saw some kid who was running around screaming his head off with his arms out like an airplane.

where the fuck do you live? I just got back from the dmv renewing my license. I got there about a half hour before they closed (best time to go, no general line so you get your call number right away) Had to wait about an hour after that.

>20 minutes of waiting to get test graded, I am two numbers from being called, suddenly the woman simply doesn't call the next number and walks away

You sit there, either texting someone, or better yet, the sucker that you managed to drag along. Usually family. You talk, and hope that there's not a pause or silence between you, because as soon as it gets silent, you realize just how long you're going to have to wait, and/or have waited. You sit there. Waiting. Watching the little number steadily climb, til it reaches yours.

I had to go to there to renew my license last year.
I got there about ten minutes before they opened.
There was a line at the door that went ALL THE WAY AROUND THE BUILDING.
I was there for at least two hours.

Shit was bananas.

i always wonder why people shoot up schools. malls, and post offices, but never the dmv

When I was 17 I did.

I mean FUCK. The driving portion wasn't even that long, and the instructor cut it short cause I was stuck in traffic.

tl;dr had to wait 3 hours after finishing my driving test, the wait was uneventful though.

if you go to the DMV, be sure to bring every fucking thing you have every time you go there.
