Just...fuck, /r9k/, being an adult sucks.

Maybe I'm just bad at math but 40 grand seems to cover all of that.

There's a lot of other ongoing costs, such as food, cell phone bills, etc...

Those are just the primary consistent costs.

    6% to the 401k...

Not too bad if you just graduated.

    where do you live

    that's pretty expensive rent....
    >> Anonymous 04/27/12(Fri)18:59:01 No.2260882
That still leaves you 25,000 to spend on women and wine. I fail to see why your bitching.

    Delaware County, PA. Expensive area.

I live in a decent apartment, not anything ridiculously fancy. And I'm paying that much with a roommate (double, two bedrooms).

    >Own
Absolutely foolish given real estate prices in the area, plus the fact that a home has upkeep.
    >having a car
No choice. There is no feasible public transportation option to my work.

Per YEAR? That's cheap as fuck bro.

If your normal bills are costing you more than your rent, you're doing something wrong.

    Even assuming they're about equal:

    12 + 12 + 2 = $26k

40 - 26 = $14000 dollars to spend on whatever the fuck you want each year.

I take it you must be a woman who doesn't know how to stop buying shit on impulse?

If not, why are you bitching?
    >> Anonymous 04/27/12(Fri)19:01:40 No.2260913
    Kinda same situation here

    >50k/yr job after graduation
    >40k/yr after taxes
    >10k/yr for rent
    >only get to keep a net 30k
    >mfw 40% of my salary is gone and I still need to buy food and shit
    >mfw I'm a poorfag

It's $50/mo or $600 a year. Before they pay out any benefits, I have to spend $300 in-network myself.

After that point they cover 85% of in-network doctor related costs.

I'm just saying, being an adult and figuring this shit out blows. For how much you work, it's surprising how little you get.
