    That is,

    Since biological cells have a different concentration of certain ions (kalium, sodium, chloride etc) on the inside than on the outside (extracellular matrix, the liquid that surrounds cells), there's a difference not only in that concentration but in voltage as well. This difference is called membrane potential.

    Don't ask me how to calculate it though, I could look it up but CBA right now.

    We are learning this right now but we won't need it in our everyday practice later on.

    Add up the number of times X appears:

    2x^2 = 4 x
    7x = 7 x (duh)
    total number of x = 11

    As to get 0 you must take away 4 from 11x this means:

    11x = 4

    so to get the value of x divide 4 by 11

    4/11= 0.3636363636

    the 36 after the decimal point reoccurs to infinity however.

    Bananas cost $2.20 per kilogram and nuts cost $4.80 per kilogram.

    (q_n+8)*c_b+q_n*c_n = 133.10
    (q_n+8)*2.20+q_n*4.80 = 133.10
    2.20*q_n+8*2.20+q_n*4.80 = 133.10
    7*q_n + 17.6 = 133.10
    7*q_n = 115.5
