Underrated? Overrated. People keep saying that this is such a good movie, but I don't know what it is that makes this so awesome. I'm not saying it was a totally terrible movie, it was ok for one time watch but just.. average in its mediocrity.

Dark City cannot compare to any of the other movies' action scenes. there's only one, and its an embarrassing "telekinetic" fight. Hell Babylon A.D. had better action sequences. The "mystery story" through out Dark City was boring and so was the "climactic" battle.
Truely a boring movie.

I did not mind it to be frank, not the best film ever made but I have seen far far worse pieces of cinema.

holy shit I can't stand how half the internet has such a raging boner for this shitty movie, yet the same bunch of fucks rage on the matrix like they get paid for it.

Do I think the Matrix is a spectacular movie? No.

Does it have a better plot than Equilibrium's fucking plot-holed to shit story? Yes.

Does it have better action scenes than Equilibrium's corny as fuck gun-kata scenes? Yes.

Does it have better actors than Equilibrium's b-cast monotone-speaking third-rate actors? Yes.


Equilibrium has maybe 3-4 good scenes in it. The rest of the movies suffers from the most extreme dumbassery and try-to-hard I've ever seen.

Fuck this corny ass shit.

It was visually nice and stylish, but not exactly stunning. Bale was interesting but just missed the mark. I enjoyed Taye Diggs, and most of the supporting cast. Plot was pretty good, but a little shaky near the end and not exactly groundbreaking.
Overall, I enjoyed watching the film, and it certainly is awesome.

Equilibrium is a pastiche of things we've seen a million times. Its only original idea was that stupid gun-kata thing.

Overrated as fuck.

I thought this sounded like a shitty matrix rip-off but I did actually enjoy it when I watched it. Can't remember why, though...
