sure does suck. Getting cable would not help either, unless you like
watching bowdlerized movies, sports, or general reality tv shows on
channels that are used to be educational.
Digital television
is better picture, same shit. Unless you like watching PBS, which is
most full of fail compared to the BBC. American television just plan
sucks these days unless you are part of the lowest common denominator.
There
are plenty of alternatives to the American suck fest, there's hulu,
youtube (where you can find plenty of full movies that the MPAA still
hasn't sent take down notices).
There's always the bittorrent websites, but I would stick MPAA movies, because they will not sue you directly unlike the RIAA.
Of
course, you can send a letter to your local TV station or the broadcast
network itself, tell them not to produce so much suck and produce
regular drama on a Friday night. |
