Except that's not even true anymore. Take a good look at /r9k/. Most threads are just general discussion, and most posts within those threads give the indication that they're made by people with normal social lives and friends. Hell, even the average "no gf" thread is more filled with normalfags that are down on their luck, rather than genuinely lonely friendless neckbeards.

The whole "/r9k/ is full of social rejects" thing is just a joke at this point. In reality, /r9k/ right now probably has an audience similar to /b/ or /soc/, IE relatively normal people with a few outspoken forever alones amongst them.

a normalfag is someone who isn't genuinely normal, someone who subscribes to the normal way of being but only to fit in and/or have friends.
an actual normal person is far more agreeable as a result of genuinely being interested in their past times.
