The burden of proof isn't on Zimmerman. It's in proving that he was guilty of murder, and there are a lot of doubts about that.There isn't much evidence to be reviewed, but what little there is does corroborate Zimmerman's account. It looks more like self-defense than murder.

But there is a possibility that Treyvon's death was justified and it is also possible that it was just cold blooded murder. WE DON'T KNOW. There is not enough evidence from either side to come to a conclusion.

Only "evidence" there is is zimmerman's statements, witness statements, and 911 phone calls. It is also POSSIBLE (I capitalized it so you can get it through your head that I'm not assuming this is true, just saying that it is possible) that the person screaming in the vid was zimmerman.

The way I see it there are two basic scenarios:

>zimmerman follows treyvon (because he is suspicious black kid in gated community that has recently had higher crime rates) and assaults him, fighting ensues, treyvon shot

In this scenario, zimmerman should be in prison. OR:

>zimmerman following suspicious black kid, confronts him, asks him what he's doing around the neighborhood so late, etc, Treyvon being a thug gangsta gangsta assaults zimmerman because he's scared, zimmerman feels as though his life in in danger (I'm sure treyvon felt the same way), and he shoots the kid.

In this scenario, it is perfectly legal to shoot and kill.

It doesn't matter if the 911 operator told zimmerman to stay put, 911 dispatchers have zero authority, they are not police. They told him to stay put for his own safety.

So we don't know what happened, and anyone making some kind of conclusion based on what evidence there is now (very little) is VERY VERY ignorant and stupid.

The only evidence we have right now is his word. No one has seen any wounds on him, and his medical records haven't been shown to prove he was treated for any.

But lets pretend he was wounded. All that suggests is that there was a fight before he killed him. Nothing else.

Trayvon had the right to defend himself if he felt endangered by Zimmerman, and seeing as how Zimmerman went chasing after Trayvon, it'll be extremely hard for him to make the argument that he was the one who was assaulted.

I will never understand why this one case in particular got so much media attention, out of the thousands of murders that occur throughout the United States every day.

As for Zimmerman getting off on a possible murder charge I don't care, never really had much interest in the case.

The Stand Your ground law applied to Trayvon, not Zimmerman, since he chased him down despite being advised not to. A lot of lawyers have already come to an agreement on this fact.

If Trayvon did start to fight him because he felt threatened, he was well within his right to do so.

So again, even if Zimmerman did get hurt, he still has a terrible defense if and when he ends up in court.
