44 KB General Freelancer.com Tips and Tricks Thread Anonymous 03/23/12(Fri)03:07:35 No.1850053
So I know us arcanines do nothing but sit at home all day playing vidya, complaining about vidya, and posting in the new "135 posts and 7 image replies omitted. Click Reply to view." misogynist thread, but why not be productive on the side?

I cracked the digitizer on my phone and got $25 for a new one in my Paypal from hopping on Freelancer.com and paraphrasing some business document for some plaigarising douchebag in just over four hours. If you're a white knight then don't worry, there's plenty of ads for original content like articles for startup websites, web design, digital design, coding, programming and it looks like quite a few $25 ads for cam whores in the "anything goes" section. If you want to do something productive just go over and take a look at the site.

Here's the link through my account's referral system. I don't actually know what the points do, but I get a few whenever someone clicks it and signs up and you can start with a hundred by using the code NEWFRIEND when you sign up.

Anyone already use it? Like the subject says, any tips and tricks to maximize profit?

Come on guys, just think about how much phone sex with a real live girl you could buy for 25 bucks. That's almost a half hour to talk to her about your SC2 macros!

    I have a real job.

    I'm not that pathetic, dude.

Now if you excuse me, I'm off to work.

Hmm, how quick does payment go in? And how reliable is it? I did some mturk work but since I'm in the UK I couldn't take half the jobs and had to sell stuff I bought with the credit rather than just getting paid.

I'm getting into currency trading at etoro. It's pretty interesting & I've just made about $90 this morning after buying some when they were low last night.

I'm a freelancer programmer. My standard fee is 75$ for an hour. I'm mostly doing business relation management softwares for small companies who cannot afford SAP or Oracle or other big programs. I also make websites and optimize others. I'm also working for several companies as sysadmin as they don't need someone constantly being there.

I spared enough money to travel the world a couple of times which I want to do in two years, I'm already planning shit. I'm 25 also, I have my own house (in Yurop), a beach condo and two cars, a bike and whatever you want usually (tv, laptops etc.).

I don't show my money off since after a level you understand how poor you're compared to some people you meet during business, especially in IT/Telecommunication. I'm more proud of my works. Also inb4 I won't show here anything but I guess you can ask me if you want.

As quick as whoever created and ad and hired you pays you.You bid on the projects people put up that they need help with and you can ask for a down payment before you finish the job or halfway through or whatever. Most people do 50% halfway, it looks like.

I mean, I guess the guy could stiff you but you should just use common sense like on any other site. If someone has good feedback and projects that have been completed and paid for he's probably not going to roody poo off without paying.

Can you tell me more about this? Getting a few hundred from Freelancer and then trading actually sounds like a good way to make some extra money at home.

    >>1851147
Sounds like a good deal! I'm not interested enough in digital or web design to want to follow that path, but it seems like if you're intelligent about it it's easy to get enough of a nest egg to live comfortably. Could you give some tips on how to start out for anyone who might be interested?
