    >have acne start to develop when i'm 14/15

    >now 20
    >have tried everything suggested by everyone except accutane
    >nothing ever changes no matter what I do to my diet/showers/lifestyle

I've pretty much given up now. Any other robots like this? I just have no social confidence at all.

I've heard so many terrible things about it and its side effects.. I also don't want to pay for it or find out how to get it and go through with all of that.

    whhyyy

Was in the same boat. Then I took acutane. Now I just have a couple pock marks.

It's really not all that bad. Just remember not to take it on an empty stomach (preferably with some dairy), and watch out for dry skin.

I have a friend who this happened to. Just do drugs for bitches like him. If you don't want to do drugs, enjoy foreveralone. It's better than way, so your inferior grease genes don't intermingle.
    >> Anonymous 02/08/12(Wed)00:49:34 No.1360540
Yep. 22, moderate acne. Nothing too big, but I constantly have chicken skin on my forehead and cheeks.

I'm not sure if something as severe as Accutane is for me, considering my skin problem isn't horrendous, painful acne. I'm just an adult with less than average skin. Feels bad, but I hope it goes away.
    >> Anonymous 02/08/12(Wed)00:50:14 No.1360546
I still have mine and I'm 23 in a few days. It's basically just red spots, with one or two very small pimples every week, so.. steadily declining, but still annoying.

Accutane is a bitch. I'm still not sure if I would have tried it, if I had known I was going to have acne until 23. I know the side effects and such. I guess I should have, since I'm a virgin omega male with completely shattered self-confidence.

Just my two cents. Protip: It's all about exfoliating. Get the oil and dead skin off your face. Shave with a blade after a nice hot shower. Sleep on a material that breathes, like a cotton towel. Wash your face any time you sweat or get oily, and moisturize so your skin doesn't remedy the resultant dryness with more oil.

Its all about oily skin OP, see a dermatologist.

wash face with cleanser followed by liberal amounts of 2.5% benzoyl peroxide, once or twice a day.

I seriously need to go see a derm.
I have oily skin that's finicky and dries out extremely easily.

    Soap dries it.
    Benzoyl peroxide dries it.
Salicylic acid and exfoliants make it greasy as FUCK.
Sleeping on towels gives me worse acne.

    Shit just doesn't work out.

thing is, dryness is a good thing. acne dies along with your skin.
if you gotta go out, just put some moisturizer on.
and if you notice your skin getting way too flakey, don't apply the BP as often. even if you're only using once every 2 or 3 days, it will still fix your shit.

The dryness hurts and moisturizers exacerbate the acne that's sure to follow that dry period.

Sometimes I can do a regimen for 3 days, but it seems like my face catches wise and starts acting up right after that. So I have to constantly switch.
    >> Anonymous 02/08/12(Wed)01:09:08 No.1360755
if your using an oil-free moisturiser, it will not do any harm ever.
as for the acne that follows the dry period, i've never had acne come up straight after my skin recovers from dryness. and as soon as its recovered, i go back to occassional BP and I don't see acne again til I get slack with it

    OP or anyone else reading:
Before you go off and buy everything in this thread, know something first. I've tried countless products and cures, but some things that worked for others do absolutely nothing for me. After a few years with mild-medium acne, I just recently changed my diet. No sugar/dairy/wheat or processed foods. It has taken awhile, but so far it's helped.

What I'm trying to say is that there is no one "cure." Something that worked for one guy might not cut it for another. I know people that eat like pigs yet have no acne whatsoever. Sometimes you just have to experiment or just go to a dermatologist.
