>>1360799 You're
the one who's being effected by the word here, get over it. At the end
of the day, I'm no nigger, so I could care less about how you label
everyone else who you think fits the category, even me
Racism isn't a bad thing...hell It's hardly racism. It's statistics.
Just because I see a black person, I'm not going say to myself "He's a criminal"
However,
with the choice of walking past a black man or a white man on, with no
difference in effort required, I would walk past the white man.
Why?
Statistically, he's less likely to rob me. (about 15% less likely). If I
make my choice random each time, then I'm 7.5% more likely to get
robbed. It's beneficial to me to make the "racist" decision. However
this is not racism.
But suppose I'm interviewing two candidates
for a job at my company. One is a white man, and the other is a slightly
more qualified black man. Chances are I choose to hire the black man,
because he will do the job better. At this point, I've likely determined
he is almost definitely not a criminal, so the statistics do not apply.
TL;DR:
If you don't know the guy, but stereotype him, it's statistics. If you
know the guy and stereotype him anyways, it's racism. Open racist |
