So couple of weeks ago, I was riding my bike from school and this guy in a black car starts following me. I mean, no shit, U-turning-up-and-down-the-road-just-to-pass-me kind of following. I think I ended up hiding behind a sign and giving him the slip. It really freaked me out, but after that incidence, I didn't seem to have anymore problems. That is, until today.

    >Riding my bike to school
    >Black car stops right across from me
    >Old guy rolls down the window starts talking to me
    >"Hey, why do you ride your bike in a skirt? Don't you know you're driving all the men on the road crazy? I know you saw me following you the other day. You live in the apartments, don't you? Want to go some place where we can talk?"
(Yes, I ride my bike in a skirt. I wear skirts everyday and I haven't owned a pair of trousers since the 6th grade. However, I always wear shorts underneath when I'm out riding.)
    >Tell him I have to get to class.
    >Get his license plate number as he's driving away.
    >Report his ass to the police.
The sad part is, it's like he didn't even know how creepy he was being. He admitted to stalking me as if it was a normal thing to do. He made it clear that he'd been trying to catch a glance up my dress. Do guys actually think those kinds of things are flattering?

    >Asks me where I work so he can come see me and no one would have to know. When I say I don't work, he asks for my phone number and tells me to call my mother so I can tell her that he'll be giving me a ride home. Finally leaves after I refuse to give him my e-mail address.

Oh, lawdy. I was driving a couple of weeks back when I saw this fine young lady riding her bike. She looked pretty nice riding in her skirt. I didn't pay much heed to that, but I did realise soon enough that the fact that she's riding her bike in a skirt could cause some trouble for her. The next day, I decided to approach her and tell her that. You know, because I care about people, I don't want this girl to get hurt.
So I told her. And what did she do? She get my damn license plate and reported me to the police! What the fuck? Am I the devil now for telling her this? Fuck, next time I'll let her get raped, I don't even give a damn.

I find this kind of thing to be the saddest, most pathetic stuff ever. Someone so desperate for romantic/sexual contact with a woman that they totally misinterpret the most casual social interactions. It kind of hurts my soul. Also, men resenting women for trying to be friends is so wtf. Sorry you're incapable of forming a relationship with a woman that isn't based on sexual feelings.

OP, that story is fucking awful. Ugh. Scares me. Also lol at all the ridiculous posts in this thread...OMG YOU REPORTED A KINDLY OLD MAN WTF LESBIAN WHORE, WEAR MORE CLOTHES. Dude, she was wearing shorts under her skirt and he fucking followed her home. That's not cool.

Ok, would you like an explanation for how I usually dress? I own maybe two skirts that reach above the knee and I only ever wear them during the summer. I always wear a bra, I never have my tits hanging out, I never wear mini skirts, and the garters of my stockings are never displayed. I dress far more modestly than most young women my age. Now try to tell me I'm naked.

    >walking up the stairs at school, on the way to my classroom
    >some indian kid is walking down the same flight of stairs
    >it's a wide fucking set of stairs, we both have more than enough room
    >he "bumps" into me, conveniently getting a big handful of my tits
    >"what the fuck?"
    >he smiles really creepily and licks his lips

Why do guys think it's okay to do this?

Please ignore them...it doesn't matter what you say. You'll always be in the wrong and it doesn't matter how modestly you dress, you'll still be an evil dirty temptress. Don't worry, 99% of people in the real world aren't like this.

This is why I wear Hijaab. This fucking happened to me among other sick things when I would wear normal day clothes, but since I've donned a headscarf and clothes that only show my hands and feet--the perverts have magically disappeared

femanon-don it for a day and wear a long skirt with long sleeve shirt, I promise no one will bother you :)

You know, I used to feel sorry for women who wore Hijab because I thought that they were being oppressed or some shit. Anymore, I think I'd rather wear Hijab and be essentially invisible to men than put up with the shit I have to deal with when wearing average clothing. The point you just made has been the first time I've heard someone besides myself point out using Hijab as a means of avoiding harassment. I figured that wearing it for that purpose would be disrespectful, you know?
