The way the report system currently works, you can re-report a post once the report is deleted. Each time a post is reported, it's likely that a different mod or janitor receives the report, and there's a chance that mod will ban you for it.

Mods are too lenient. The short ban lengths that come from the templated bans are fine, but the mods seem too reluctant to increase those bans (or escalate them from warns to bans, or whatever) with repeat offenses.

Similarly, the mods seem a bit off-track when it comes to certain things: too quick to say "it's just 4chan" and shrug their shoulders when dealing with shitposting and trolling, yet obsessive and harsh when it comes to things like underage users.

I think the moderation on 4chan is fine. It has room for improvement, but in no case is that improvement "backing down" or lessening the amount of moderation that takes place -- it's simply focusing their efforts better.
