There are many honest responses to this thread; people legitimately listing their favorite episodes of a very problematic anime instead of saging or simply informing the OP that discussion of this show is not allowed. Why are the mods not doing anything about these idiots? The flood of earnest responses at the beginning of the thread implies an obvious /v/ raid. There aren't this many /a/ regulars who would be okay with a thread about this show.

For the record, there is nothing wrong with liking the show. There is everything wrong with discussing it on /a/, because it brings cancer.
>>
that "show" is also a manga.
>themoreyouknow
>>
>>685473 (OP)
Does it break the rules? If so, report it.
Do you simply not like it? If so, hide it.

/q/ is not a report button now matter how much your board seems to think it is.
>>
>>685473 (OP)
I saw this on /a/ and got genuinely excited to talk about it until I opened the thread. I really wish people like you would kill yourself instead of shitting up threads that you don't fucking like. I hope you get banned for this shit and this is coming from a long time /a/non that's sick to fucking death of every thread on every board being ruined deliberately because a certain group doesn't want to see it talked about

FUCK
OFF
>>
I knew /a/ was shitty but god damn.
>>
>stop talking about anime on the anime board
>>
>>685481
you can talk now, the shitposters are done.

it's the fans' fault for responding to the HURR GB2/v/ garbage anyway
>>
>>685473 (OP)
Oh ... what DOESN'T bring cancer to /a/? Yeesh.
>>
>people legitimately listing their favorite episodes of a very problematic anime instead of saging or simply informing the OP that discussion of this show is not allowed.
How literally autistic do you have to be to give a shit?
>>
This is a joke? Right?

God. I fear the day when all anime is no longer allowed to be discussed on an anime board.

if it has cute girls and no plot pleb shit then it always has a place on modern /a/

/a/ is fucking cancer. like someone already said here
>>685480

Personally I'm surprised you're even whining since /v/ and /a/ are butt-buddies.

just because you don't get the show doesn't mean it's bad.
>still honorably mentioned in the only list it wasn't top10

but I don't browse /a/, so I don't know what it's like over there. I presume the abhorrence is more like Nirvana on /mu/, and zealous hardliners actually hate the show because it isn't Escaflone.
>>
>>685534
think of it as a bunch of people who watch barney the dinosaur, sesame street, and teletubbies, who get pissy whenever someone comes in and talks about things like south park, the simposons, batman the animated series, etc. Add in a ton of pedophilia.
>>
>>685536
ah. that clears the air, thanks anon.
>learn something every day
>>
By your logic, we should fully ban anime from /a/ because it attracts anime fans from outside communities.
>>
>>685545
Why the FUCK is anime still allowed on /a/, MOOT? Don't you know people will come and try to DISCUSS it?
>>
You are allowed to discuss anime on /a/ as long as:

>It isn't 'entry level'
aka things that don't take 30 hours to tell a basic plot. Or anything liked outside of /a/.

>It isn't talked about too much
aka whatever I feel like talking about

>It has moeshit and pedophilia in it
This is a must

>It has to be a sub

So yeah, actual anime is de facto banned on /a/.
>>
My reverse troll sense is tingling, considering Op never replied to his own thread
>>
>>685549
He probably got grounded
>>
So now /a/ won't discuss Cowboy Bebop? Wow you people changed. I am so glad I stopped going to that board.
>>
Cowboy Bebop has a bad fanbase? I wasn't aware, it's a fantastic show.
>>
>>685534
It has been discussed to death.
Every single day you get about 10 threads from people who aren't even from /a/ calling it the best show ever made even though they usually haven't seen anything that didn't air on Toonami.

Imagine if every single day /v/ got a bunch of threads along the lines of "Hey it's /tv/ here, why aren't you talking about Bioshock Infinite? it's the best video game ever made stop talking about your gay Dark Souls shit!"

Surely you can understand why the people who have /a/ as their main board would eventually grow to find fans of the show annoying and wouldn't want people like that on their board.
>>
>>685642
yeah, I get that. seems like overkill to ban 100% of the posts 100% of the time, but
it's not my board and I don't claim to know what's best for /a/
>>
>>685473 (OP)
>The flood of earnest responses at the beginning of the thread implies an obvious /v/ raid
Well aren't you paranoid
>>
The reverse trolling is so obvious in the OP.
>>
What the fuck that's an anime right?
Why would it be not allowed on /a/?
>>
>>685687
Isn't trolling riling up people to get angry at each other?
So reverse trolling would be riling up people to have a actual civilized discussion?
Isn't that a good thing? Or am i missing something?
>>
>>685707
No, it means that he's taking the piss out of trolls and people who want to enforce their "culture".
>>
>>685710
So is he trolling the trolls?
>>
>>685707
It means that somebody is trying to make a group/community look bad(/a/, in this case).

or this,
>>685710
>>
>>685642
>It has been discussed to death.

So has Madoka and Evangelion but /a/ keeps on forcing it down our throats.
>>
>>685724
And those are both topics that get trolled and shitposted to hell and back as well.

CB and DBZ threads always seem to end up with OPs who, the minute they see someone reply with sage, start crying, spamming their crossboarder memes that nobody on /a/ cares about, and shitting up their OWN threads. If they don't start the thread intending to be trolls, then they always end up making themselves look like it anyway, and their threads get shit on even more and eventually deleted. They bring it on themselves.
>>
>>685473 (OP)
>The flood of earnest responses at the beginning of the thread implies an obvious /v/ raid

That's a very serious accusation you're making. Do you have any evidence?
>>
>>685473 (OP)
Just because it's entry-level anime doesn't mean it shouldn't belong on the anime board. You don't see people from /v/ complaining here because someone started a CoD thread, why make such a big deal out of this?

Besides, by continuing to make threads like this on /q/ introduces a lot more "cancer" than threads about the big three or Cowboy Bebop.
>>
>Talking about anime on /a/ is cancer

Quick guys! Let's post headphones to keep the anime fans away!

stop being new pls
stop being retarded pls
/a/ likes CB
/a/ dislikes shitty threads
this one wasn't shitty
everything's ok

Lurk before posting. Lurk before reporting. Do it with head. If you're unsure whether you should do something or not, don't do it.

For fuck's sake, don't create threads about /a/ on /q/.
>>
People such as yourself on /a/ like to pretend you're better than /v/, but you're not. Just a different flavor of the same shit. Cowboy Bebop isn't nearly as bad or cancerous as something like Nurutu. Get over it.
>>
>>686166
yeah but you /q/berts all fell for OP's troll which kinda proves you only know /a/ from hearsay (to be fair, same goes for /a/ to /v/).

If any of you were actual /a/nons you would probably know that Bebop is actually liked on /a/ and usually discussed as long as it's not used in a provocative way. All anime is like that where people boost it as "teh best evah" and several trolls appear to fuck with it, cute girls or not cute girls (especially if there is cute girls in it because then they can just sprout "moeshit" and the anime loses all legitimacy).

But you just up and believed OP because "/a/ IS A SEKRET KLUB OF ELITIST THAT ONLY LIKES CUTE GIRLS." Your ignorance is the reason for your gullibility.
>>
>>686290

Cowboy Bebop threads are constantly trolled, spammed and sagebombed go and look in the archive.
>>
Why does moot not just make a separate "retro anime" thread for shit /a/ flips out over?

Then people could have discussions and /a/ could keep doing their thing.
>>
>>687570
Because it wouldn't be a "retro anime" board, it would be a "I want to talk about anime but I'm too much of a shitposter to do it on /a/ without trolling, attacking other people, and shitting up my own thread until it gets deleted" board
>>
>>687570

Because /a/ shitposters don't like the idea of splitting the board because they think they own the place.

>>687617

It would be a "People want to talk about retro anime but I'm a shitposter and want to ruin their threads so moot deletes it" board.
>>
>>687570
A retro anime board would mainly recruit from /a/ so ultimately nothing would change for fags who've only seen Cowboy Bebop and Dragonball.
>>
>>687570
Because there's no fucking point in a retro anime board?
>>
>>687570
Because people who want to discuss retro/shounen anime are the only glimmer of hope /a/ has. If you take those users away, all /a/ has left is discussion of anime and manga marketed towards little girls and lonely otakus. And moot probably doesn't have the disk space or funds to host another anime board that probably won't have a lot of users posting on it anyway (including bringing in /a/'s users who've defected to other boards like /v/ and /b/), at least not without sacrificing another board.
>>
>>688471

I don't know about Shounen but I agree with retro anime fans.

Let's face it, a lot of posters on /a/ don't give a shit about what they're watching really, they'll eat up any old crap just so they can discuss it with /a/.

Aside from the obvious/predictable classics, people that dig deep into retro anime are the real fans because any idiot can access currently airing series and follow it with /a/.

I think the people who object to a retro anime board are scared that the good posters will leave /a/ and /a/ will go the way of /v/, maybe worse.

It's not little girl or 'otaku' shows are the problem, it's anything that's currently airing. Once you start going back to the late 90s/early 2000s most idiot /a/ users don't know what the series are, they can't make a shitstorm over it and they don't understand how to troll it so the discussion is safeguarded.
>>
>>685642
>even though they usually haven't seen anything that didn't air on Toonami.
And that's where the core of the issue lies doesn't it?
They didn't like it before it was cool, like you did right?
>>
>>685536
>Think of it as a bunch of people who watch Barney the Dinosaur, Sesame Street, and Teletubbies, who get pissy whenever someone comes in and talks about things like South Park, the Simpsons, Batman the Animated series, etc. Add in a ton of pedophilia.
That is a perfect analogy.

All of this. Anyone whose fed up at this point is just better off headed off to another place, like Plus4Chan,
>>

except Madoka has had two movies and the third movie is coming out. Evangelion has a manga that finished and the final movie coming out. They both have enormous amounts o content.
