Why do I keep getting banned for the most asinine reasons? I paid good money for my 4chan Pass and I'd like the chance to actually use it. We can't say "nigger" on /v/ now? What is this, leddit?

You took my money, moot, so treat me like a god damn customer.

Such is the life of a mod.
>>
making a list of everything you broke with that post

>Do not post the following outside of /b/: Trolls, flames, racism, off-topic replies, uncalled for catchphrases, macro image replies.
>The quality of posts is extremely important to this community. Contributors are encouraged to provide high-quality images and informative comments.
>All posts should pertain to video games, their consoles, and video game culture. Threads should remain on topic and stay in theme with the board. Don't post off-topic garbage.
>Threads should not devolve into flamewars. Instigating or encouraging such activity will not be tolerated.

Wow you're one high quality posting. 10 bucks say you use the le silly word 'vidya'.
>>
>>578265 (OP)
>I paid good money for my 4chan Pass
And you used it to make that quality post. You probably also used it to make this quality thread.

Money well spent, I'd say, since the Pass has allowed you to bypass recaptcha on two separate, provable occasions.

Oh, I'm sorry, did you think "Pass" meant "Pass to break the rules"?
>>
>>578283
"customer is always right" aka "you have my money I should be allowed to do anything, regardless of any agreement inherent in me giving that money to you"
>>
>You took my money, moot, so treat me like a god damn customer.

A pass doesn't let you do anything other than post without the captcha. Arguments like yours are part of the reasons 4chan doesn't accept donations.

I really hope you're mods posting anonymously and not just enormous fucking faggots.

I'm entitled to use the service I fucking paid for
>b-b-but you broke the rules!

This is how we talk on /v/. "Nigger" is a term of endearment. If you banned everyone who posted like that, there would be no /v/. /v/ has never followed the rules to the letter, nor does any other board.
>>
>HAVING A 4CHAN PASS ENTITLES ME TO SPECIAL TREATMENT!!!!!!

This is exactly why so many people were opposed to them. You wanted to support the site. Good job. Now enjoy not having to type captcha and stop shitposting.
>>
>>578287

SPECIAL treatment? How about the same treatment that everyone else who calls people "nigger" and "faggot" get - not getting banned for it?
>>
>>578286
>I'm entitled to use the service I fucking paid for
Oh, I'm sorry, did you have to type the captcha to post that? No? Then you got the service you paid for.
Just because you post like a frustrated 14-year-old kid with Down syndrome and got banned for it does not make the service of the 4chan pass extend any further.
>>
>>578289
I'm admittedly parroting something I saw from Moot or a mod, but alledgedly some rule breaking posts don't get deleted because not enough people report them, and mods/janitors don't always "go on patrol".
>>
>>578286
> If you banned everyone who posted like that, there would be no /v/

Any nothing of value would be lost.
>>
>>578290

I have to post via a slow-as-fuck proxy now. I shouldn't have to.

So are you a mod or just a retard?
>>
>>578265 (OP)
It looks like you were shitposting. What, do you think that owning a pass exempts you from being banned for being a goddamn retard?
>>
>>578293
Congratulations, you have learned the concept of being 'banned.' Now try not to post like an idiot and maybe it won't happen again. Though from your posts in this thread, I'm pretty sure you should just cut your losses and leave this site for good. Wouldn't want to strain that underused mind of yours trying to figure out how to act like an adult.
Perhaps you can find some forum for others who are as mentally challenged and self-entitled as yourself.
>>
>>578299

>self-entitled

Define that term for me. Because I'm pretty sure you just heard it somewhere and decided to repeat it even though you have no idea what it means or if it's even a real term at all.
>>
Wow thats a bullshit ban made by a stupid faggot. Still serves you right for upgrading to plus.
>>
>>578301
Self-entitlement: Feeling that one deserves more than one actually does.

Fits quite well with some retard who thinks that they're some special flower who can post whatever he wants because he bought a pass.
>>
>>578284
Only one company in the history of companies has ever had that policy. Crazy, I know, but it's the truth.

The most prevalent policy of all companies is "We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone".
>>
>>578309

That's a "false sense of entitlement", retard. "Self-entitlement" is a bullshit term made up in the last few years by the internet that doesn't mean anything. You call me a retard as you parrot meaningless expressions you picked up from shitty message boards while adopting a condescending attitude.

Maybe you should suck a cock and fuck off, you little faggot.
>>
>>578286
>I'm entitled to use the service I fucking paid for
And if you don't have to type a captcha, then you are getting the exact service for which you paid.

>This is how we talk on /v/.
Board culture does not make the rules. There's a bigger staff now and the rules are actually being enforced! If you'd learned to follow them all along instead of waiting until more cops showed up, then you'd be fine now.

No, I am not a Mod.
>>
>>578314

>We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone

Not AFTER THEY'VE TAKEN MY FUCKING MONEY
>>
>>578315
Oy ... this shit needs to be locked. You're an idiot and your Pass should be revoked under Global Rule 17.
>>
>>578318

>And if you don't have to type a captcha, then you are getting the exact service for which you paid

Not being able to post at all is not the service for which I paid. That's what they tried to do to me.
>>
>>578320

If they revoked my pass and didn't give me a refund, I'd sue the fuck out of moot.
>>
In my most recent ban, I was asking /v/ what they were playing during the that north-east blizzard.

I got b& for litterally asking what videogames people were playing on a videogame board.
"Feel" threads are perfectly acceptable though.
>>
>>578320
if he's using his pass now, it'll get revoked via global 9
>>
>>578326
>Not being able to post at all is not the service for which I paid.

You paid the bypass captcha. That's it.

It's not a free pass to do whatever. You're obviously ban evading, so what do you care?

>>
>>578350
Hahah, oh wow. Literally the next post after yours >>578351 →

Face it people, you want to be an edgy twat without any trouble, head back to /b/. And before you launch into a "but this is 4chan, bastion of freedom!" spiel, take into account that there are rules and guidelines that are expected to be followed but haven't been enforced constantly in years due to low staff numbers. Every board is not a niche flavored /b/ and being 4chan doesn't excuse behaving like an asshole that ruins the boards' quality.
>>

A lawsuit that he would, in fact, lose.
>>
>>578372
Maybe ... and then the person suing him would be out $2,000 in legal fees and moot would have to pony up $20.

I wouldn't exactly call that a loss.
>>
>>578374
I was referring to the OP as the one who would probably lose(isn't there a clause that says they reserve the right to revoke the pass?), thereby just making him waste $2000 on nothing.
>>
>>578378
he'd probably stay at home and masturbate to cartoon porn posted on /v/ the day of the trials anyways,
>>
>>578266
Mods should have the discussion to ban actual shitposting instead of 404ing inoccuous or slightly controversial threads
>>
>>578381
>discussion

I meant "discretion"
>>
>>578378
Oh, my bad. I misread your reply. I do that now and then.

Anyway, OP would probably win if his Pass were revoked for a provably unjust cause. But it wouldn't be much of a victory.

In reality, Lawyers call that kind of thing "Payday" and always ask for a 50-70% retainer fee up front. If the Lawyer bills at $250 an hour and assumes he will devote 8 hours total - research and court time - to the case, then the suitor can be asked for upwards of $1200 out of pocket up front with NO refunds. (Retainers are non-refundable)

Since you're a fucktard I'll quote the pass information

"What exactly does a Pass allow me to do?

A 4chan Pass allows you to bypass typing a CAPTCHA verification when posting and reporting posts on the 4chan image boards.
What doesn't a Pass allow me to do?

A Pass does not confer any additional privileges beyond bypassing the CAPTCHA verification. You will still be subject to various post timers and the Rules of 4chan."

Now read the next bit carefully

" You will still be subject to various post timers and the Rules of 4chan."

You aren't entitled to jack shit you fucking dumb faggot, how about you stop shit posting instead of bitching about a ban.

I've also reported you for ban evading, I hope you get perma banned you fucking faggot
>>
You broke a rule. This is fact.
You are not entitled to a refund. In the terms of use for the Pass, term 8 states:
"You agree to abide by the Rules of 4chan, and understand that failure to do so may result in the temporary or permanent suspension, in 4chan's sole discretion, of your posting privileges. Suspended ("banned") users shall not be eligible for a refund and will not have lost time added to their Pass account."

>>
>>578616
People don't get b& for saying "nigger".

They get b& for acting like niggers. Which is why the OP was b&.
>>
honestly, the mods are the cancer killing this place. the whole point of 4chan, what made it so popular/notorious in the first place, was that it was an anonymous forum, where people could post without fear of censorship. now, if you don't carefully watch your language and the topics you discuss, you're banned. this place truly has become leddit, and it sickens me
>>
>>578813
>now, if you don't follow the rules, you're banned

Fix'd for accuracy.

The rules have been there since day one, it isn't "censorship" if you choose to break them.
>>
>>578813
also, while most are still anonymous, it's no longer seen as a good thing, so we have attention whores, tripfags, etc. if anything should be a bannable offense, it's posting one's own picture
>>
>>578815
not the "no racism or trolling" shit. if those rules had been around back in the day, there would be no 4chan now
>>
>>578818
/b/ != 4chan, friend.
>>
>>578818
They've been around for a while as far as I know, it's just that enforcement of those rules has not been great until recently historically.

Then again, /q/ has given people a place to complain about bans and have them stay, so there might be extra shit we don't know about going on here.
>>
While the OP is a colossal ass-clown for thinking he's immune to the rules, I am inclined to agree that banning people for saying "nigger" on 4chan is absolutely ridiculous and defies the entire point of the site. We aren't supposed to have to hold our tongues and be polite. This site was never meant to be like other internet communities, and it never was, until just recently when the mods decided to act like the kind of delicate little flowers you might find on GameFAQs or Facebook.

In the golden years of this site, you didn't have to censor yourself. The rest of the populace was just generally aware that there might be some "offensive" shit being said, and they either put up with it or they left. Nowadays, people migrate over from all corners of the internet (leddit included), and they just expect everybody to act in a manner that suits them, that suits the sites they're used to visiting. I know it's a buzzword and all, but it demonstrates an air of self-entitlement; that all the people on 4chan have to adjust their personalities, censor their speech, think twice about the shit they want to say, just because some new arrivals are getting their feelings hurt over words on the internet.
>>
>>578818
That rule has existed since the beginning, its a global rule. The difference is it went unenforced for the longest time because of the high number of users vs low number of mods.

But honestly, no one is banned for racism or trolling unless you're being obnoxious. And as >>578820 said, 4chan != /b/. There are plenty of boards with good communities that don't rely on edgyness or SO RANDUMB attitudes for comedy.

Thank you mods. We need the iron fist of nazi mods on /v/ because it's a shithole and the more fucktards that get banned the better. Judging by the recent wave of butthurt retards from /v/ermin on /q/ hopefully it will continue.
>>
Only on /q/ would they defend a hambeast SRS janitor.
>>
>>578266
nobody wants the rules to be enforced strictly like this.

Even if the rules were only enforced to prevent outright raids and automated spamming, that would still be preferable to the dull shitholes that /v/ and /sp/ have become.
>>
MODS LOGIC

Bans a guy saying nigger

Dont ban a single shitposter
>>
>>578818
>if those rules had been around back in the day, there would be no 4chan now
This is why newfags shouldn't be allowed to have opinions.

They don't know anything about 4chan's history, but are so willing to talk about it.
>>
>>578291
Sounds legit. Moot would need a buttload of mods if they should read all threads to look for rule violations. Not to mention it would be a crime against humanity to make people to read all the threads in, say, /b/.
>>
