I only go in game threads anymore. I've gone in an MLB general a couple times, and it was awful every time. Impossible to have discussions since most of it is shitposting. Plus people only have discussions with anons or trips they know. Board culture isn't always a good thing. There is healthy board culture and cancerous board culture. Board culture is never going to truly die for any board, because the nature of posting with the same people on a website lends itself for culture to form. The janitorial staff and moderators are there to decide what type of board culture is healthy for a fun, on-topic user experience, and what board culture only hurts the board in the long run.
