Is there any reason why Milky Way is totally banned from /mlp/?

The NSFW ban is obviously justified, and the thread ban I can almost agree with, but the safe for work pictures and images too? I don't understand.

I'm not crazy about tumblr OCs, but I'm getting the feeling this ban is being used as an example to show how much of a joke the moderation has become on /mlp/, and is encouraging people to disregard the more sane rules.
