/pol/ didn't solve anything. /pol/ speculated a lot and came up with theories, most of which have been debunked by now. It was a fun ride, but /pol/ was missing a crucial piece of evidence: The film from the Lord & Taylor security camera.

Cops said they were looking for a "male in a backwards white hat and gray hooded sweatshit" and /pol/ grabbed on to the first white hat they saw in the crowd - which wasn't backwards, so they dun goofed.

Then they decided it was a couple of guys ... who turned out to be law enforcement, pictured after the event with backpacks still on their person and speaking with the FBI.

Oops. Sorry, /pol/, but ya don't get credit for this one.
