We need a final settlement on the issue of /pol/. Video games and anime don't interest me as much anymore, so I don't even know what the quality of their respective boards are. I don't think we even need to go into how worthless /b/ is.

Nevertheless, I'm still hanging around because I like the easy free form straight talk style of 4chan. But /pol/ influence is really coming close to the final straw for me. When I do occasionally see visit /v/ I notice tiresome constant antisemitic memes (don't lie to me and try to claim this is not a new thing, I've been around long enough here to know real racism from old style ironic funny racism). Check out /lit/ for maybe interesting philosophical discussion and I'll run into one of the regular /pol/ raids where some peacocking teenager is shitting up the board with tirades against the latest ultra-rightist conspiracy theory a la "Cultural Marxism". If I wanted stormfront I would go to stormfront. Maybe I'm just an old bitter loser, but there is nothing remotely fun about reading through the results of interesting, mature, or unique discussion being drowned out by a teenager's personal quest to be edgy.

It was a huge mistake to let /pol/ fester. It's a launch pad for agenda pushing shitheads with shit posts. I think if it continues, which it probably will, it might very well be the thing that finally kills 4chan's relevancy like how a major site redesign killed Digg. /pol/ has largely failed as a containment board, but if we delete it, the attack on other boards will be catastrophic, the amount of shitposters will increase hundred-fold. I was actually curious about this a while back and looked it up. They mentioned on their forums that going to 4chan was a waste of time because nobody took their ideas seriously, even on /pol/, and were just looking for arguments.

As for the JIDF, they're mostly a joke. They exist, but it's a small group of bored Jews, there's not more than a few dozen of them at most and they're more concerned with news websites posting anti-semitic stuff than an imageboard where 90% of the content is discussing porn, masturbation, anime, and video games.
/pol/'s not really a containment board either, I'm not sure you're using that word correctly. /vp/ and /vg/ are containment boards, /mlp/ is a containment board, etc. They were created to contain certain kinds of posts that were flooding other boards.
