Good evening, moot.

My question is regarding /v/. How do you feel about unboxing threads, so long as they are video game related? I enjoy them and have made a few of them myself over the years. My concern, however, is that a mod could interpret it as attention whoring or something. It might come off as something that's not trying to focus on a video game, but more focused on a bored dude's blurry pictures of a package slowly being opened while other users guess what game or assume it's dragon dildos or something. So I won't be one to say that they are perfect and shitpost-free, but I still think it's fun for others to share their newly acquired video game or video game accessory.

So an easy question to ask is, if you saw an unboxing thread on /v/ and it was for a video game, would you delete it or leave it be?

Hey moot, it's not really a question, but I just wanted to let you know that 4chan has pretty much changed my life.

If it weren't for Code Geass sundays back in 2008, I would have never started translating manga for /a/. Now that I've been doing it for four years, I've made the decision to become a professional translator and interpreter. It's all because of the support I've had from Anonymous and the inspiration I've gotten from the hivemind.

I really struggled for a while trying to figure out what I should choose for a career, and while I was thinking psychology for a while, when I remembered all the good times on /a/ delivering manga, I realized what my passion really was.

So thanks, I guess. I know it's not something you could really control, it being 4chan and all, but I feel like you're partially responsible. So thanks.

When they don't even know what a proxy or tor is? From using Chromes Incognito feature to posting an image less than 25x25 they got this banned and had to make an account just to use the IRC. I've seen 6 people thus far publicly say they've been hit with this ban, and while most of them say the mods corrected the mistake, I've left to wondering why it even happened, or is may still be happening? And if this trend continues, why should I even try to help the site in any way knowing I could be hit with a ban I don't deserve or even know about? Donating to any other site that has a questionable ban system wouldn't see a dime in donations or buying privileges.

moot, is there some way you can improve /v/ in general? I thought there were janitors added, but they seem to cherrypick threads; for instance, Smash Bros. threads get 404'd but, depending on who's awake, vaguely related threads like filename, "why is this allowed" and CoD are kept.

As you know, /sp/ is one of the only two boards on 4chan that has flags. Personally, I like the flags, but some people have voiced their displeasure with these flags since they were added to the board over the summer. What would be a nice addition to the board would be to add state flags for all 50 states in the US, at least to me. I know you guys aren't going to make the flags, so I found a website that allows anyone to download royalty-free state flags for every state in the Union. They're a little bigger in size (40 by 24) than the flags from famfamfam (16 by 11), but it shouldn't be too difficult for someone (or even me, if you really wanted) to re-size them.

I don't know if this is possible to do this by IP address, but if it is, it'd be a good addition to the board.

What is the best board nowadays in your opinion, moot? And which board do you think that improved the most in this whole year?

As much as I agree with you, DBZ threads in particular end up turning into "power level" debates, debates which have been answered in the DB community already. Also, things like Toonami aren't vidya, and are part of the problem.

Question: When posting a thread, why does the image upload to your server before the captcha is verified.
