And it really is bad. I'm not sure what it's supposed to mean but I feel like it has too many qualities of this face (Non-ASCII art is not allowed, apparently. Press alt 3232 for it) and "I seriously hope you don't do this." Those are both, for lack of any other better word, established. This new face doesn't bring anything new to the table. I guess its a unique emoticon meant to imply smugness.

But its vagueness aside, it also came up way too fast. And it just kept getting posted, in the same way, every time. With any other meme, you can subvert it in some way to make some new take on it, but you can't change anything with this. You could change the characters to give it different eyes, but then that's already a meme of sorts. And hell, if we're gonna be doing that, why not post ASCII art?

I feel the intention was, "4chan will accept anything as a meme if you post it enough." I agree with this, but this is not how you would do it. There's no substance to the face and the execution was somewhere between half-baked and lazy.
