Depends on the content of the OP. If they explicitly mention vidya while comfy it's secondary. If it's a general thread it's technically off topic, though usually people discuss playing vidya while comfy anyways, cause they know what the threads are about, and it's a vidya board.

In an ideal world, comfy threads are about video games you play while being comfy and music you listen to while playing video games and being comfy, so it would be secondary. However, there's always one asshole who shits up the thread and everyone likes to shit fling instead of chilling out and just ignoring him, which throws it so far off topic that it isn't relating to video games at all.

The thread that was on /v/ made no mention of vidya in the OP nor in most of the posts. If the theme of the thread is "what vidya do you play while comfy" then it is secondary. However, if it's just about being comfy as said thread was it is tertiary.

I personally enjoy shitting up any /v/ culture threads that are not specifically about videogames. I will report Ito, Deep Sea. Spider and Steam ID threads to hell, pretend to be retarded as to make the /v/ community turn on them and watch them burn. So far, I've had at least Steam ID threads taken down three times by mods due to my shitposting alone.

Then I made another one for safe measure and watched it 404 within 10 minutes of its creation without me posting at all. It seems like pretending to be gay did make gayfags assume it was a gay lovenest so now their reputation is ruined and steamfags have no place on /v/.I think I will focus on comic threads next.

Being comfy is a direct attribute of the action of playing video games. Like being nervous or stressed, and surely "vidya stress situations" threads would be perfectly fine, right? Therefore it must be assumed that comfy threads are fine, too, as long as they discuss being comfy playing vidya, and not just being comfy.
