Why is /co/ becoming the new /b/? Each day there are more and more threads about shit that has nothing to do with comics and cartoons (anime, video games not based on /co/-related franchises, /soc/ threads) and things other boards won't talk about even though that's what they are there for. Worse still, after the mods at /v/ started cracking down on shitposting they all fled to /co/.

Also, yeah, I saw that Roasted Bread (the Nichijou Avatarfag) made a thread about this, but that's just his own personal vanity thread in disguise.
>>
Because /co/ as a community fights and fights to allow tons off completely offtopic and "technically" ontopic threads, so now the shitposters realize that they can post any kind of thread they like and half of /co/ will say the thread should be allowed

Y'know what... You're actuall right. I actually have seen in the off-topic threads people trying to justify the posting of off-topic material in /co/. There's a solution, but it's far out of /co/'s reach because we're never going to get better mods over there.
>>
Ever since /q/, every board seems to be becoming the new /b/.

So how about those janitors boss?
>>
>>151106
I told everyone this would happen, but everyone just kept saying bullshit such as
>why do you hate fun?
>ignore threads you don't like!
>X is /co/ related because I don't like the board it belongs on!
>>
>>151070
Since the creation of /q/, 4chan has been in a state of flux. Everyone is going fucking retarded all over the place and the only thing that would really make this shit a whole lot better would be if we had more mod and more active mods who stopped doing this whole cloak and dagger thing and actually fucking participating.

Off-topic threads and those fetish threads
The off-topic shit is being excuse with some retarded board culture thing and the Fetishes threads are just fucking disgusting
There is a board for everything, and those don't belong on /co/
>>
Some guy posted in another thread what the problems with this board are.

1. /co/ has a community, like you, that love nothing more but to suck it's own dick.
2. /co/ has a huge holier then thou attitude and believes it's the best and it does topics better then the board they're meant for
I.E,
>/co/ thinks it does video games better then /v/ and /vg/
>/co/ thinks it does anime better then /a/
>/co/ thinks they do movies better then /tv/
3. /co/ is filled with normalfags who don't read comics and only come for avengers
4. /co/ willingly accepts tumblrfags, places like /v/, /sp/, etc shun reddit, tumblr, and 9fags
5. /co/ cartoon fanbases is fucking awful, and I mean almost all of the cartoon fanbases
6. You are open to off topic shit.
7. This boards janitor is terrible, who would rather spend their time deleting porn then this shit thread.
8. You could have stopped the pony faggotry before it started, but you decided to keep it because this place has no balls and is a hugebox
9. General this general that.
10. You people don't do shit when Korra gets a new episode, at one point more then 100 korra threads were going on at a single moment
>>

>1. /co/ has a community, like you, that love nothing more but to suck it's own dick.
That's come from several good years, where /co/ generally didn't have generals, generals and other shit.

>2. /co/ has a huge holier then thou attitude and believes it's the best and it does topics better then the board they're meant for
Based on? Those few threads that have popped up the past few days, i.e. the shit that we're complaining about right now?

>3. /co/ is filled with normalfags who don't read comics and only come for avengers
Comics AND cartoons. Oh, you mean the film? Very often the people who post about /co/ related films are regulars on the board.

>4. /co/ willingly accepts tumblrfags, places like /v/, /sp/, etc shun reddit, tumblr, and 9fags
>/co/
>accepts tumblr
Pick one. No seriously, the majority of /co/ loathe the majority of tumblr. See any mention of it.

>5. /co/ cartoon fanbases is fucking awful, and I mean almost all of the cartoon fanbases
Nothing really to say here as I avoid most generals like the plague.

Seems pretty normal. We have had problems with off-topic and flooding of certain things that get popular, and still do sometimes, but I still think /co/ is a good board, and has always been a good board. People who think it's Top 5 in overall quality have their heads up their asses, though, and people who think it's bad most of the time are also full of shit. /co/'s a GOOD board, not GREAT or SHIT. It's a little better than the midway point between those two. This are some exceptions though. We occasionally have really great threads that discuss things civilly, or are hilarious, etc. etc. but that's occasionally. We also get worse than a good portion of bad boards if certain topics are discussed (Feminism, Tumblr, Roasted Bread, Toonami threads that aren't on Saturday Night, etc.).

So yeah. I don't think /co/ needs much more than more focused janitors/mods, and even then they do an okay job.

Oh, and, while I'm venting on board quality, /v/'s definitely notably better after /q/ came along. Not perfect, but certainly a little more vidya than before. /mu/ and /sp/ are MUCH worse than /v/ currently.
>>
>>153191
We want more janitors as a pre-emptive measure before it gets worse, not wait until It's absolute shit before we do something

That explains why nothing is being done to Toonami threads. Which is why /co/ has essential become their home board.

It's the off topic talk that's killing this board. Cartoon posters have nothing to do with that.

How many times do we have to tell you people this? Toonami is not an anime. Toonami airs anime. If you want to make threads about specific shows once you finish them you're more than welcome. But we aren't interested in hosting your livestream threads of some American TV block.
>>

>>153678
I think there is retardation on both sides. Toonami is a airtime block. It's not an anime, it's not a cartoon, it's just a slot of television time that groups together a few shows for people to watch. In reality, toonami shouldn't be a discussion type on either /co/, /a/ or /tv/. It's fucking nothing. The shows contained within should be on /a/ and /co/ depending on where the animation came from.

Anime belongs on /a/.
Cartoons belong on /co/.
Toonami belongs on neither.
>>
>>153682
The problem is that people on /co/ dont give a shit about the rules on any board unless the rule helps them in some way.

And since half the people on /co/ are from tumblr, they can't handle it when people on /a/ are mean to them, so they go running back to /co/ and think they get to just make anime threads because they don't like /a/

Ironically, these are probably the same people who ignore every legitimate point you make because you're breaking one of the rules they like

I wish the people on /a/ weren't such cunts. I don't watch or read naruto and the big 3 myself, but I don't care if other people do. If all the aspies would either fuck off or at least shut the fuck up and just let people discuss anime on the god damn anime board, both /a/ and /co/ would be better off for it.

But it's an unattainable dream.
>>
>>153690
I prefer a board of elitist cunts who I can actually talk about the board topic with to a bunch of submissive shipping faggots who actively encourage offtopic threads.

Since Hal Jordans death I have seen one semi successful thread about that, and three wildly popular Naruto threads and two wildly popular fetish threads.

There is no real discussion on /co/ anymore. Just storytimes with no discussion, roll threads, generals, and offtopic shit.

Again, I prefer the board full of dicks that I can actually talk to sometimes

>I prefer a board of elitist cunts who I can actually The aspie elitist cock suckers encourage off-topic posts every day like waifu bullshit. Also they're the ones who "self-moderate" with dubs faggotry and other kinds of spam. I would rather a board without cunts, elitists or aspies, where it's actually possible to discuss something without some cock sucker coming in saying HURDURMOESHITXD or HURDURSHONENSHITXD or all the other sorts of "insults" they have for anything they don't like.
>>
>>153693
My mistake. I didn't actually mean to put all of that in greentext.
>>
>>153693
Yeah, I can hardly read that but every board has shitposters and trolls. I haven't seen any dubs shit in weeks though, that's mostly /v/s problem.

/a/s main problem is that people have a difficult time not responding to trolls, that's really it though. Sometimes a troll can just derail the fuck out of a thread if they say the right thing.
>>
>>153697
All the boards have problems responding to trolls.

What weirds me out about /a/ is that they seem to be the center for every shitstorm that happens between the boards.
For a board that has elitist posters pushing away everybody, they seem to be the first to go post on other boards.
>>
>>153724
If you're talking about what I think you're talking about, those shitstorms are typically preceded with "/a/ won't let spoonfeed me and/or entertain my shitty Bebop thread ;_;". Not to say that CB isn't a valid thread topic, but they make shitty threads and complain about /a/ afterwards.
>>
>>153724

Hell, that miofag originates from there and its one of the only threads he doesn't shitpost in (well, aside from avatarfagging itself, but he actually tries to stay on subject when debating his spoon waifus).
