Could the quality of /pol/ ever be improved? Or is it forever destined to be a shitsponge for /k/, /int/, /sci/ and other boards? Let me ask you this, does the "no racism" rule even apply to /pol/? Because that's basically all /pol/ ever is anyway. Pic semi related
as long as real news is that way/pol/ will never be good
Unfortunately, for the most part, you can't discuss politics on the internet. 1 of three things happen1. It becomes a circlejerk. One opinion dominates all others, which, coincidentally, is what a majority of the site's users held. This happens most commonly on places where content is voted on by the community. See reddit.com/r/politics2. It becomes a shitfest. If no side is able to gain control, then you get stuff from the bottom of this pyramid. This often occurs when users don't have a constant identity. See >>>/pol/3. The website works out. This requires good fortune granting you a diverse userbase to prevent the first scenario, and strict moderators to prevent the second. See: Iwishthiswebsitereallyexisted.com
it's not a problem with 4chan. Politics in it of itself is shit, and historical records suggest it always was
Ah, I forgot my pic. This is the pyramid that I was talking about in the second example, which we can see with /pol/.I might add that /pol/ will never get to the third category because mods and such are already spread too thin across all the boards. Also, to explain why two happens, when users don't have an ideantity, they have no reputation to keep, which is why I can call you a Crypto-Jew Vagina Niggerbastard and not fear reprocussions. Also, I can't post this. The flood detection is turned up to ten, espessicially with images.
Does anyone actually care about /pol/?
>>118673This.Funny how no one seems to abandon it in favor of economics, though.
I don't go to /pol/, but from what I've heard of it, I take it it's an extreme right-wing circle jerk where if you say anything leftist or liberal, they'll accuse you of being a Jew and spam variants of that black and white Jew cartoon.
>>118546/pol/ wont improve for a long time. It needs its userbase to be in voting adults for at least 10 years to have any idea what they're talking about. In /pol/'s defense that's the problem with any forum where young people talk about politics. tl;dr: /pol/ is shit, stay on /int/
