Title says it all. Give a summary of the problems on your board, ideas on how to fix it, or just say what is going on there as of late good or bad.I know there are 800 threads about /a/ and a few others, but those normally derail into something like:>You're from /sp/? /sp/ stands for shitpost faggot>You're from /b/? what are you, 12? Faggot.>You're from /a/? Have fun with Naruto, faggot.>You're from /mlp/? Go back to clopping, faggot.>You're from /soc/? Have fun being /b/'s shitfilter, faggot.I want to see a civil thread about all this. I know every board seems to hate every other board, but let's just pretend we don't for once, alright?
I'm from /b/. We have no problems.
I'm from /mlp/, and the lack of clop disturbs me.They should be more horse porn.
/co/ is my favorite.no complaints here. It's easily the best board.I wish /g/ wasn't such a shithole nowdays, though... I really enjoy it when it isn't ridden with apple trolls and desktop threads full of racist spam.
We need a little more moderation in /mlp/.
/m/ needs more mods. Badly.
>>117034Is /g/ really that bad? I used to go there on occasion. Was never a frequent visitor though, so I can't really say how much it has changed.
I'm from McFadden Intermiddent, the WORST possible middle school. The kids here are just beaners with guys that are pretty boys and dumb idiot girls that act like really mean bullies. I always have my earphones on every day in all of my classes. I have decent grades and love listening to good music like The Beatles, The Beach Boys, Queen, The Clash, Metallica, Nirvana, the list just goes on and on. The kids at my school mostly listen to horrible artists. Stuff like Justin Bieber, Lil Wayne, Kesha, Lady Gaga, Pitbull, stuff like that. My top 5 are The Beatles, Sublime, and Nirvana. GOOD music.
/co/ is fine.
>>117049/g/ has it's good days and bad days. Right now for instance it's fine. However, when it's bad, it can get REALLY fucking bad.
>>117073 Kind of sounds like /b/, actually. That's where I am from, didn't mention it to avoid the normal comments. It's normally bad, but some days are better than others. You have to wade through knee high piles of shit on the bad days, other days it is only shin high. Every once in awhile something cool pops up. I still think the place can be saved, but only at great effort.
/a/ is fine except for all the trolling it's been getting thanks to /q/.
r9k is plagued by shit threads and shitposters, especially a few shitposting tripfags like JLH.
/a/ just needs more mods/janitors.
>>117121that's not /a/ exclusive tbh, all boards would be better with more reasonable moderation.
>>117028Liar.Unless you like ponies.
/co/ - If I had to pick problems I'd say that some topics need to be streamlined in to a single general thread. Occasionally Gravity Falls or Adventure Time will have two separate threads on the frontpage. This doesn't really bother me though. It's a small problem. The board also suffers the occasional offtopic post and avatarfagging is a temporary issue at the moment. All it needs is a few more janitors. It's already pretty good. The other boards I browse, at the moment, are:/q//r9k//tv/But I don't visit them enough to have any serious suggestions.
/g/ is great even though people only talk about consumer electronics. The problem is that there is spam bots flooding screenshot threads and people are arguing if screenshots are technology or not. There is also a problem with people posting what ever content they want even though there are other boards to discuss that, but they argue: "It's technology" or "its board/4chan culture".
>>117126Yeah, I agree. I hope moot gets to hire much more janitors this time.
>>117024>>You're from /a/? Have fun with Naruto, faggot./a/ here. This isn't a problem. You offboarders are the problem. All our problems, including you shitheads, are minor and can be fixed with a slight increase in moderation.
>>117131I have no feelings toward cartoon horses one way or the other. My mutant power: I can ignore the things I don't like unless they're physically hurting me. Amazing, I know./b/ is fine. If cartoon horses make you rage, maybe you should stay away from the internet for a little while.
/v/ issuesdat feel and greentext story threads getting spammed with sage (also, people not understanding sage) even though moot said they're finecreepy threads- can go to /x/, they are in dire need of actual contentthe other shitposting on /v/ tends to actually be vidya related however, such as console wars, EA bashing, valvedroning etc
>>117163>dat feel and greentext story threadsI have no problems if it was videogame related, but it's not.I used to be a /v/irgin and there would be a bunch of unrelated threads. I'd report them, ignore, etc, but nothing was getting done. If they did get deleted then people would complain: "but its /v/ culture". It's not. If boards had no rules, then why have them? If that happened, then we should have a bunch of /b/ boards.
/x/It's gotten better since we dumped all the "/x/ sucks now" threads here instead, but it's still full of "this isn't paranormal" and ">still believing in /x/ stuff ISHYGDDT". It's not as bad as it could be, we used to have furry threads that reached image limit.
S'up guys, /a/ here. It's doing pretty well, with a touch of moderation needed.
>>117154What part of "pretend like you don't hate each other" did you miss? I was using that as an example of what happens here on /q/ dude, and an exaggerated one at that.Maybe, and this is just a thought, you are part of /a/'s problems. If you wouldn't come here and act superior, you wouldn't gain attention from us "shitheads".
I only go to /a/. Leave it as it is.
>>117173He has a slight point about the other boards complaining about /a/, but overall I think other boards are pretty cool.
The majority of /co/'s problems could be fixed with better janitors and mods.
>>117121/a/ doesn't need more, it need proper janitors/mods. Not dickheads who go huehuehue I ban you for week for something that a warning would have sufficed. Suckers won't even bother to tell the reason for ban.
>>117188>naruto threads litter front page>permabanned for sfw loliWhy are mods who don't even browse /a/ allowed to moderate /a/?
>>117192Normal fags in charge of monitoring /a/
/g/ suffers from:>Bot spam>Newfriends thinking /g/ is Tech Support>Offtopic desktop threads>Ban-evading Tripfags>Our own elitist attitude driving off actual discussion>Lack of actual moderation, or at the very least recognition that we actually exist.
/d/ mildly suffers from weak moderation, but is overall fine
>/v/>too many normalfags who praise shit and hate on good things just to stand out and get attentionOtherwise it's damn good.
/a/ here. Things are fine over here, apart from the spams we've been getting thanks to /q/. But I just ignore it and it'll all stop soon so no big deal.
I prefer two boards./co/ : I would like general threads to be a bannable offense for tv shows or anything that doesn't update every damn day (like HSG) and even then, I'd sort of like to just ban them entirely. /co/ was a much nicer, friendlier place before generals existed. Post a thread when there's an update or new show, maybe a thread in-between for those who missed it. Then ban the everloving fuck out of the WORD general. It does not lead to any good things. Otherwise, it's alright./tg/ : There are no significant problems to the board. I am sometimes annoyed if the mods delete a troll thread we've turned into something amusing, but they ARE troll threads. I only worry that because we're the best board on 4chan, and we get an influx of immigrants from boards who have gone to shit, that we will lose our native culture. We took in most of the decent posters from /x/ years ago with no issue. I worry about /sp/ managing to do the same.
>/a/One or two retard mods and massive trolls since /q/ started. Other than that, we're cool. Just need good janitors and mods.
/v/irgin here, /v/ is still the worst board on 4chan filled with retards and full of underage.
/jp/Significantly improved, with serious dips in board quality whenever the janitors sleep.Come on people, get some coffee
>/wg/ Lately we've had users from /g/ and /w/ come in for the desktop threads, nothing major usually happens there, which is nice.
>>117237I agree we could use a bit more moderation on /d/, but at least we lost the futaspammer somewhere along the way. The board topics have been a bit more balanced since that annoying fucker left.
/a/ and /tg/ need to stop deleting threads just because a little porn leaks in. Bromont will rock up with a fuckawsome storytime and it gets deleted cause nofunallowed.jpgIf you are where you shouldn't view porn you shouldn't be on 4chan anyway.
>>117336The worst thing is that (years ago) /tg/ used to have best porn threads in the whole fucking 4chan.
/kr/It doesn't exist
>>117339and it should stay that way
/k/ommando here90% of the time it's just fine but we've been plagued with the frequent shitposting thread from /pol/ every now and then, the majority of which are only partially weapon related in order to justify ramblings on minorities or liberals.
>>117345you're saying the majority of /k/ isnt conservative rednecks already?
>>117336Do you not know the fucking difference between a SFW board and a NSFW board?I like porn as much as the next guy, but it gets to a point where it gets annoying and overall ruins a topic and board just like any other spam.
I'm surprised so many people go on /d/ for how slow it is.Also, Daily Programming Threads could go back to >>>/prog/. I mean, wwhat about our battlestation threads? They're more technology related!
>>117348Yes.That and general denial of rights to minorities, a subject brought up a lot in such threads, is fundamentally hypocritical to the values that allow users like /k/ommandos to exist. It's all very political and complex, but in the end it's still asinine shitposting that belongs in it's quarantine board.
>>117352Yes..... because we have so many places to go.... >Look at broujo. >/a/ said go to /tg/>/tg/ said fuck off and die>A lesser writefag would have left a long time ago. like so many decent/good writers did.....Could we just add a nsfw subboard to all the worksafes? It'd solve a chunk of the problem at least. Maybe add a quest board to shunt that off of /tg/.
>>117352btw, never seen porn do anything but enhance a bromont/Papa-N thread. Tastefully applied porn is best porn.
>>117334Hmm, these guys think 'the spammer' is still at large>>>/q/113405
why the fuck are any of you on the internet?
>/co/Good board, often great, sometimes bad, but we've got a small portion of topics that can NOT be taked about without going /v/-at-its-worst quality:FeminismtumblrToonami any time other than Saturday nightRoasted BreadThe Nichijou avatarfag (who may or may not be Roasted posting anon) who showed up around the time that moot made the against avatarfaggingshippinghalf of fetish threads even though there isn't a board for that stuff and likely never will be(this Alliterative day bullshit like "STRONG SATURDAY FAT FRIDAY HURR" is shit though)If a thread lacks any of those things in notable quantity, its likely a pretty good thread. Honestly, cleaning up a few of those things would make /co/ a fucking fantastic place.>/v/It's /v/. Less non-vidya since /q/ started. I'm first to admit that /v/'s best threads are some of the best on the whole website, but its worst are some of the overall worst.>/q/Great idea, alright execution, pretty nice results, some shitty trends in threads. /a/ bitching (some substantiated, some not), board requests outside of the new board discussion megathread, Stop Liking What I Don't Like, A BLOO BLOO MOOT WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH, etc.
Who else is from a small board?
/pol/ has a problem with some crazy spammer who is facsinated with k-pop bands. They're plastic cunts with no tits for fucks sake
/a/ is great except for all the naruto spam because of /q/.
>>117634/an/ here. We're fairly quiet, which isn't necessarily a bad thing but we're often described as the most helpful board. We're also married to /k/
>>117431>/a/ bitchingmany of those were made by that retarded naruto spammer
My home board is /soc/. It's probably10% Post yourself/Crush threads20% Camwhore threads30% Meet-up threads40% Contact threadsProblems we have:>Nokosage is used pretty exclusively for shitposting>TC spam>people spamming nudes of people in other threads they post in>Namefag circlejerk crowd never actually left>/b/tards in the camwhore threadsThings that have been fixed:>Mods are actually deleting threads/banning people>Rules have been reworded and addedI'm hopeful. Once we get a janitor I think the quality of the board will be improved.
/e/It's perfect. The only thing we could use is the ability to post hi-res stuff, really.
/co/ still has Roasted Bread and the /a/vatar faggot. It's still a good board at it's core. Though Vs. threads seem to have started appearing more. Fuck those.
>>118078I think one of /soc/'s problems would be deciding exactly where to draw the line between shit and quality, since, lets be honest, most of the stuff on /soc/ would be considered shit on almost every other board. I personally am just happy I don't have to look at it on /b/ anymore. Some days the place looked more like modern day /soc/ than it did oldish /b/.
/lit/ is all good
>/k/Needs its name changed from /k/ - Weapons to /k/ - MilitariaReason being it'll make it so there isn't this rift between users arguing about whether or not any thread is relevant at all to the board. Tanks, military related politics, jets, tactics, survivalism, history, and realistic military games/simulations should all be /k/ related.
>>118436>since, lets be honest, most of the stuff on /soc/ would be considered shit on almost every other board.Like what, camwhoring? Contactfaggotry? On other boards, sure, they're not wanted, but on /soc/ that's exactly what the board is for. No offense but non-/soc/ialists have this subjective view of /soc/ and feel as if it doesn't deserve any kind of moderation because it's cancerous by their standards.
>>118487That was not what I was saying at all. Every board should have a chance at decent content. I just meant because of the fact it is made for stuff a lot of other boards don't want, where do you draw the like between good and bad posts there? It's not a clear cut issue like some other boards. There is a lot of grey areas, you know? Of course this is coming from an offboarder, so I am mainly speculating here.
We need to be given the address of every /mlp/ user and clusterbomb each of their individual hosesIt's the only way
/b/ has too much ponies, and the mods keep squishing the attempt to fuck with Lacey Vicich...
/lit/ is great.Only problem: we get a lot of off topic threads. Not as in philosophy, but as in >>2916435I hope that we get at least one janitor to delete this kind of stuff.
>>118429Avatarfags seems to just have gotten bolder since the new rule. It's like they think they have been martyred or something. Roasted Bread just actually derailed a thread here on /q/ >>117947I don't even go to /co/, but this guy is annoying. A common thing with avatarfags though, since most of them just like the attention.
>>118600sorry, meant to link to >>>/lit/2916435
