First off, "progressivism" is no different than communism. It has the same objectives, supporters, and values.
I have 3 theories:
1) The core issue is modern atheism. With the increased knowlege of the mechanics of nature coupled with the ignorant trend of of atheism fueled by both european ideological integration with America and massive financial and political support rich dirtbags, atheism is the core of the problem. Understand 1 important truth: Atheism, like any religion, is harmless in the minds of the intellectual but give it to the masses and their leaders and they will destroy themselves and leave a totalitarian dictatorship as a headstone.
Atheism is popular but thanks in no small part to the centers of propaganda (hollywood, MSM, colleges) pushing it in ignorant enthusiasm. It is through this popularity, assisted by its fake intellectualism, and during this time of economic depression that it compels the young masses to blindly follow.
Atheism is a danger for 2 reasons. The first is that pure atheism, claiming to champion utilitarianism, has no qualms with rejecting every other form of ethics before utilitarianism itself merely by denying the value of human life as anything more than matter. in the hands of the masses, this liberation quickly turns to mimic the "justified" horrors of the 20th century killing fields and death camps. The second reason atheism is a danger is the enevitability of totalitarianism dictatorship with the goals of men unimpeded by any moral cost they wish to incur. An atheist world would quickly fall under a single dictatorship who's chief appeal is unlimited sin. When order is assured, neither indulgent sin nor piety would survive in the man-made purgatory on earth where human life is more valued than any single tree in a forest.
The elimination of communism starts with the acknowledgment that wisdom, not man or his transient ideals, is a better leader than any mere mortal.

Hey guys, maybe rather then just rattling off a list of leftist sounding terms at random when you make these images, why don't you actually look up what they mean and isolate the one that best describes what you're referring to, in this instance I believe State-Socialism would be most appropriate as it encompasses Marxist-Leninism (which is what I assume you mean by Marxism) as well as many other, in my eyes misguided, ideologies like it. Socialism is actually quite a broad term encompassing many ideologies, not all of which "deliver death and destruction in the end". For example about the worst Anarcho-Syndicalism can do is leave a bunch of former worker-owners bummed out about their co-op failing due to mismanagement, which is still pretty bad obviously, but it's not Stalinist level bad.

Also all this shit you talk about atheism is completely in vain, if you haven't been raised in some sort of religion the chances of you taking it up later in life are extremely slim. It just sounds too crazy to people who weren't familiarized with it as a kid, they'll just reject it out of hand like moon landing conspiracies and alien abductions, because really that's the level of plausibility and evidence it's at. Times change man, atheism is the new norm, even if most atheists don't recognize what they are and prefer to call themselves "Agnostic" or "Non-Religious" or not have a religious label at all. They're all still atheists, technically speaking, they don't believe in god actively. That's just the norm in developed countries, America being the lonely exception, get over it.

I don't know the statistics on who bought what, city vs country, so I can't admit that. It sounds reasonable, but just because something does doesn't mean it's actually the case.

The idea may have simply been, "pass assault weapons bans" and then soft regulate handguns by buying up all the ammo. All I'm saying is, the actual real consequence of these government buys is that now ammo costs a lot more than it did before them, so it makes the most sense to assume that the consequence was the intention (barring the claim of incompetency).

1. Scare existing gun owners into buying more guns. They will buy rifles.
2. Raise handgun ammo prices a huge amount, make handgun ammo scarce.
3. People who are not already armed, now find it much more difficult to buy firearms/ammo.

Deep down I think there's probably some understandable reason but one that's hidden by partisan politics and conspiracy theories. If Obama pulled you behind closed doors and told you the reason, you'd probably understand the necessity for its secrecy while also coming to admire the psychological tricks used to fool more than 1 segment of the population. One thing we can be sure of is this: They knew people would buy tons of guns and ammo once gun control was brought up. It's easier to assume that Obama's real intentions with guns is quite the opposite of what he shows off.

Gun control will never happen in the US except in certain cities. Considering we own the british commonwealth, its in our best interest that they always require our assistance if invaded
however, for this nation itself, tons of guns everywhere is strategically beneficial for our security.

You remember how DPRK and China quit sabre rattling? I'd imagine a second assessment of American defensive firepower made victory both improbable and maybe impossible. We'll find out in 60 years or so when all this shit is de-classified
