People shit on them so much but in all honesty they are an industrious people who find lots of creative uses for outdated, ruined technology to continue to make their every day life easier. People like to make fun of this ramshackle DIY ingenuity, but I think it's quite fascinating.

Rednecks typically also have survival skills that are lost on the more "civilized" parts of society. Rednecks are also have strong family units which is frankly lacking in today's society. (inb4 MUH INCEST)

Two rednecks saved my life from a bear once, I was hiking when I saw a bear in the distance, I stopped, and so did it.

Then when I started walking back, it starts running straight at me, I shit myself, and start running, I get about 20 feet when I hear two guns go off.

Turns out they saw the bear running, saw me, and shot it.
