I am legitimately and inner city school teacher and can confirm 90% of what is in that article. I've read it before. Shit is really that bad. They really do act like that. For most teachers, they feel like they are making a difference. For us, in the city, we are just getting a paycheck and trying to put 3 or 4 more good citizens out there. Every year I can count on my one hand the few that will actually make something of themselves. The rest will end up working at a fast food joint, dead, dealing, or living off welfare.

Depends on the administration. If they are a failing district and desperately trying to get their standards up then they will ride you hard every day because their job depends on you doing yours (and by that I mean teaching to the test).

If it is a Blue Ribbon School (meaning they meet or exceed the expectation for inner city schools) then you are usually more free to teach your class as you choose.

There are a few that I would not doubt becoming cannibals. Every year I get about 175 students in my classes total and, like I said, 3 or 4 have a genuine intellect. This is also because we have a Latino population as well and the ones that have families that come from Spain are usually more studious. Latin Americans are lazy as fuck and only interested in sex, dance, food or their "latin swag."

Teacher again here. I doubt very much having a race war but certainly many black riots to come. They have no concept of hard work or capitalism and when it comes to stealing, they see it as normal. Most teachers at our school have their cells attached to them with an ID lanyard because the kids are thieves. If you don't lock your desk or supply closet, they just rifle through it when you are distracted to take stuff home. I know one teacher who had her family picture stolen because the kid wanted the frame.

They FANTASIZE about riots because "we git free shit!"

I don't say its black kids, it's any kids from a low-socio-economic background with a culture that doesn't value knowledge or learning.

In my entire school we didn't have a single black kid, not one, yet for atleast the last 3 years of school I didn't learn jack shit because many teenagers are fucking fuckheads who detest learning anything and will do anything to make their hate of school known. I have no idea why they come to school, because all they did was cause me to fail because I had no fucking clue what in fuck we were even studying, so when exams came up, I along the rest of us that tried, were paralyzed because we didn't learn anything covered in the essay.

In the US, it is easy to blame "Blacks" because they fill most of the lower-income "anti-intellectual" bracket. But here, in a country where I can count the amount of blacks I have seen on both hands in my lifetime, it was the poor white kids that fucked shit up.
(ironically, arabs, asians and indians always got the best marks)

Black kids these days don't look up to intellectual revolutionaries like the Black Panthers, Martin Luther King Jr or Malcolm X, they look up to Snoop Lion, Lil Wayne and other "Gangstar" millionares.

Bullshit. I've taught in a poor white school (rural area with a bad heroin problem) as well as my current job in the inner city. The white school was no where near as bad because at the very least the kids had a parent or guardian interested in their education. Blacks? Nobody in their family gives a shit unless they are immigrants (West Africans are the hardest working usually).

Spend a week teaching in an inner city, black school and you will see what they value. They have 3 Gods: cellphones, 'swag', and money. Everything else to them is ancillary.

In the poor white district, I at least had a majority of kids who wanted to better themselves.

The teacher literally had a heart attack from the stress in class.

We didn't cover anything in class, because the entire time was the teacher trying to quiet down the fuckhead students which made up atleast 20-50% of the classes.

To put this more in context, I live in a lower-socio-economic part of town, yet the school I went to was a private school that is more expensive than University... so yeah.

For one thing, in the exam, we had to write an essay on a book.. that was never even introduced to us for study during the previous semester because we never got past the first shit we were supposed to cover 6 months-year beforehand.

My state is in the middle of changing the testing. We are switching to NY Regent style testing. From what we are told, they need 17 out of 78 questions to pass mathematics. English was like 20 out of 72. Science and the other tests haven't even been written but that is not unusual.
