>The so-called Monsanto Protection Act signed into law earlier this year caused such an outrage that people around the world are planning to protest the biotech company later this month. Now a United States senator is expected to try and repeal that law.

Basically, since Monsanto makes such safe and natural food that's fit for human consumption, they thought it'd be a good idea that, in the EXTREMELY RARE instance, that someone happens to get ill from their safe and natural food, they can't be held liable since their food is so safe and natural.

Our government readily agreed.

Mosanto basically gains full legal immunity to any damage their seeds cause, whether it be human or to the earth.

Source on this? All I seem to be able to find is stuff saying that if a court case is brought up concerning the safety of a crop that has already passed regulatory testing then the growers can't be stopped from growing the crop until the conclusion of the court case.

Do you not see the ramifications of a bill like this?

Someone gets cancer from a GMO, they sue, Mosanto uses their billion dollar lawyer team to tie them up in court until they die for a fraction of the cost it would if they stopped that seed production

This makes it impossible to stop a dangerous GMO unless a massive number of people get sick from it.
